Which building do you prefer for standard view rooms at the Polynesian, and why? I think I would prefer third floor in order to have a balcony and a view that is (hopefully) not just a parking lot or maintenance area. Thanks in advance!

Are you in a studio, or a room? All studios on
second floof in the DVC buildings have balconies.

Then you are not in a villa. For standard rooms, they are mostly in Rarotonga, Fiji, niue and Aotearoa. You will want to request third floor. I recommend that as only request if a balcony is important to you.

Most standard units view foliage.

We loved our Tuvalu third floor standard corner room!Balcony overlooked a quiet beach and the GF. We could walk out out room and be on the stairs outside and watch the fireworks no one was ever out there and having young girls we took them out in Jammies several nights. Building was very quiet! Note you must walk around the marina to get to the GCH and pool not an issue for us but I must admit on our Epcot day we were dragging walking those extra steps. On the flip side we walked back for dinner one night from the GF when the monorail was down super quick. Enjoy you can't go wrong with the Poly.
