Cape May is awesome, we are headed there again this weekend. The characters spend a lot of time with you and the food is delicious.

While we have not been to Cape May, we found our dinner at chef Mickeys to be the worst meal we have had at WDW. The character interaction was great ,though, and we found breakfast very good but were not impressed with the food quality at dinner.

I voted for Cape May (have not been to Chef Mickey's) because we have always had great food. Our favorite though is Crystal Palace for breakfast.

we did chef mickeys for dinner around easter break... we had early dinner around 5:30 pm and actually enjoyed the characters... i did not like the buffet... as the food was dry and not great... however my husband liked it... he always likes really over cooked food ... we did do cape may for dinner.. but now i would do something else.. my husband hated the line and it seemed less organized for a buffet.. plus our server was nice but never got what we wanted most of the time.. wrong bevarge/no extra napkins/forgot ketchp/forgot spoon... food was ok .. and my husband loved the ribs!!!! funny how it's a seafood buffet and my husband hates clams... but he just laughed as i went for them...... kid's choices wern't that great at cape may... so maybe next time a character breakfast and differnt choice for dinner ... crystal palace looks nice and it's in mk... as the others took more time to get too!!! have fun:cool1:

Well, I'm not really a fan of either (don't care for buffet dining) but if I had to choose I'd take Chef Mickey's. But there's not a lot of difference between either of them. I guess it boils down to which menu you prefer.

We've done both for both breakfast and dinner. Cape May is our traditional last day breakfast and Chef Mickeys is traditionaly our first day at WDW dinner. So....we much prefer CM's for dinner over Cape May. We had dinner there a few years ago. My father and step-mom drove up to be with us for a few days, so wanted a nice spot close to BW. Being from NE, we figured we would try the clam bake at Cape May. Now....I'm not a big seafood eater, but the rest of the group was. I did find some prime rib to eat, but it was just okay. Everyone else was very disappointed with the seafood. They weren't crazy about the clams especially. We all agreed that it wasn't someplace we would go back to.
CM's for dinner is fine. The food really isn't much different than the other buffets you will see. My dh looks forward to dinner there every visit...so I am happy to oblige. Yes, it does get noisy and crazed in there...much more so than Cape May. But, that's what happens when you add characters. No characters at dinner at Cape May so it's a bit quieter.
