We would like to eat dinner at a Boardwalk area restaurant on our arrival day. We will be staying at the BWV's and we would like to stay close. There are 11 people in our party including two 7 yr olds, one 6 yr old, one 4 year old and one 7 month old. We would like a family type place and we (I) am not into seafood. Please vote for one and/ or give me an idea of your experiences at any of these. If there is something that is not listed, let me know....Oh and we will have the dining plan if that makes a difference in your recommendations.

Thank you!!!

We liked ESPN club when we went our first night w/ our 2 girls (ages 2 and 4 at the time)-they don't take ADR's so we got there around 5 to avoid a long wait.....

We always stay at the Yacht/Beach club and we really do love the Cape May buffet-it's called a clambake, but neither DH nor myself are seafood likers-they have plenty for land-lubbers too! :rotfl: It's at the Beach Club and just a short walk from the Boardwalk :)

I am curious, what does the Cape May have for those who don't like seafood? (and here I am from Maine!) I looked at Deb's site, and it looked like there were ribs but that was it...any chicken?

Spoodles.
Great meal. A bit noisy when it's crowded but not more than any other Disney restaurant.

I loved the seafood stew. But if you absolutely hate spice, try the NY Strip with the shrimp and scallop add ons instead. The shrimp appetizer is very small in portion (It was 2 or 3 butterfly shrimp that were earch fairly large, but the overall portion was small for $10. It definitely is a single person appetizer. But it is very very good. I got em on the meal plan because the dinner portions are huge. If you're paying, the Mediterranean dips are a good size portion and can serve as an appetizer for two or three. You might be tempted to get a 4 cheese flatbread for a kid. Don't. They've added a plain cheese one and a pepperoni one. Get those instead. The 4 cheese one is definitely more an adult taste.
Both Pasta's are excellent. I can't vouch for the grilled fish as I haven't tried it. I think the variety of fish changes from time to time. I don't recall that it was Salmon when I went. It was Tuna or Grouper or something else.
The deserts are very yummy as well.

Actually the only seafood they have are steamed shrimp, clams and mussels. The rest is a regular all-american type buffet with many choices. We went with a group of 22 (ages 10 months to seniors) in January and everywhere found plenty to enjoy. We are going to do the Clambake again in July.

My vote though for the poll was for Spoodles. It is a very family friendly with a large selection of items that a wide variety of ages will enjoy. We're also going to be going here in July! :)

The menu on Deb's site is just a sample menu as it does change almost daily. Every time we go there's something different-baked chicken, ribs, once steak tips w/ mushrooms, chicken alfredo, veggies, potatoes, etc.... a salad bar and the most amazing dessert bar!!!

We go to Cape May on every trip with anywhere from 6-11 people and most of us do not eat seafood, they have pasta, prime rib, salads, potatoes, we love it and i would definatley recommend it for a large party, we also do espn everytrip because of dh's love of sports, personnally the food is just ok and the tables are very small and crowded feeling(even before the food is on the table, it is worse after) we didn't like to food at spoodles for dinner but we did like their breakfast and the tables are huge, we ate there with 16 people for dinner.
