I visit Disney in 3 weeks and 6 days :cool1: :cool1: staying for the first time at the Cheyenne.
Does anyone have any idea which block is the best to stay in? can you email disney with your reservation number and put a request in for a specific block.

Thanks

hi, i asked about whether i could request a refurbished room when i booked for the cheyenne in jan (i don't even know if they are refurbishing but thought i would ask just incase) and was told that this was something i would have to request upon check in.

Would be interested to know if some rooms are better than others from people who have been there before tho.Good question tho!!:thumbsup2

I think we were in Sitting Bull - which was 2 blocks over from the reception/restaurant building.

It was fine, only a minutes walk to the main building, and you could bypass it completely to head to the shuttle bus stop for the parks.

The only thing I'd say, if you're requesting a room in advance, is to ask for one situated away from the fire exit doors at the end of each corridor. We had kids banging that door well into late evening when we were there.

We staid in Doc holiday...it was nice, but a bit of a walk to the main reception!

I love this hotel!:goodvibes

Cheyenne is such a lovely hote, the theming is amazing. I have stayed there about 4 times I think and haven't really noticed muich differerence in the quality of the rooms (I stayed in Running Bear, Wild Bill Hickock, The Sundance Kid and i can't remember the other one :confused3 ) but they were all pretty much the same standard. I think a block near the breakfast hall would be good, so you don't have to walk too far, and then its only a 10-15 minute walk to the park.

When we went last October we stayed in Billy the Kid which was directly opposite the restaurant and not far from the path if you want to walk into the parks. We tried to ask for the same block when we booked for next January, the lady said she would put a note on our reservation but could not guarantee it!

We requested Running Bear as it was closest to the parks. :thumbsup2 It was also quiet down that end as it was further away from the reception block. We didn't need to go to reception much and we had the GMF breakfasts, though it was only a 5 minute walk to reception anyway. I would definitely request that block again as it's so easy to walk to the Village and parks from there.

We have stayed in Billy the Kid before and found it too noisy in the evenings.

how did you request this block as it sounds ideal for us? Do you just ask when you check in, or did you say when you made your booking on the phone - Thanks.:)

We were in the sitting bull too... Its also a good position it you like to walk to the park too.

You can also request adjoining rooms in Cheyenne :thumbsup2 if you are booking more than one room that is.

When we travelled with a couple of friends - and both had kids - we had adjoining rooms withouth asking and it was great just to beable to knock on the door and meet the others :goodvibes
I have stayed in Billy the Kid too and found it a bit noisy too :sad2:
