Which between the 3 higher end restaurants?

I reserved dinner at S55 as of now. I’m still contemplating the Chefs Table/Counter at NR and will change the reservation or heck, maybe I’ll do both during my trip. Thank you so much again for everyone’s responses. I’m so excited for a great meal and experience.

We've eater at SH55 twice for dinner, Napa Rose regular dining once and Napa Rose chef's counter (with wine) twice. By a fair margin we enjoyed the chef's counter over any of the other meals both times. I have some food pickiness as does my sister-in-law although my husband will eat anything. I was amazed that the time the 3 of us went to the chef's counter we had 18 totally different dishes.

Couple of questions...

1) Is chef's counter and chef's table the same thing?

2) How do you book it - online or do you have to call?

3) Just clarifying...they worked with your food issues at the counter? I'm thinking I'd really like to try it, but I'm gluten-free and can be slightly picky about some things. I'm mainly asking because the poster before you seemed to indicate that they don't work with food issues if you're at the table (I'm assuming table and counter are the same thing).

Thanks!

1. Yes. It is more of a counter than a table.

2. You have to call Napa Rose to book

3. Absolutely. I have an odd allergy (bell peppers), I don’t eat mushrooms and while I like shellfish, I don’t eat other types of seafood. My sister in law can’t have grapefruit of all things and they worked around everything. We simply let the chef know what we did not eat and that was it.

The only thing I had at either of our chef’s counter meals that I did not like was the scallop dish and a Chardonnay wine they paired with one course. I figured out that meal that I really hate scallops and I forgot to tell them that I liken drinking Chardonnay to licking a tree! The second time we went, I made sure to mention that.

Do you call Napa Rose or the ADR line? I've only found the DL ADR line.

This thread should have the info you want: Napa Rose Chef's Counter. Don't forget to note your dietary needs on your reservation and to repeat that information at check in, with your server, and when speaking with the chefs. The staff at NR will take good care of you as long as you clearly communicate what you need and what you like/dislike.
