Which bars have nicest atmosphere?

The Belle-Vue Room in the BWI is very cozy  and quiet, like a library feel, but not stuffy :snooty: . Sorry, I don't have a picture but it is on the main floor of the BW, I believe they also have chess boards (maybe also checkers). Hours are limited :hourglass so you would have to check before going over. Over at the Polynesian there is the Tambu Lounge, where you can get a nice tropical drink :drinking1 . I have a picture and I hope it comes out:

One of my favorite lounges is in the Contemporary called the Outer Rim :drinking: :

The bar at Yacht Club next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse is nice. We went there one evening around 9:30, decided we were hungry and the waitress said we could order off the menu from the Steakhouse!!!!! We were about the only ones in the bar and got wonderful service. I just love the wood floors there.

Also, the bar at Animal Kingdom Lodge is wonderful. Very laid back. They have a nice cheese and fruit platter that you can order with your drinks.

The Bar at The Dolphin is nice, also the Pool Bar at Poly is great also. :thumbsup2

Mizners at the Grand Floridian has a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Relatively quite also.

For romantic, I would say BlueZoo bar at the Dolphin, Mizner's and Belle Vue are fairly quiet and have nice atmospheres.

Everytime I have been at Tambu, it has been crowded and relatively loud with people waiting for dinner at O'hana

I like the Outer Rim for a midafternoon break from the Magic Kingdom but I wouldn't consider it particullary romantic.

I also like the bar at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I like that one too.

I would never suggest going to the Polynesian for a quiet romantic drink. Those chairs are usually full of people waiting to eat at Ohana. The same thing applies for the Outer Rim and people waiting for seating at Calif Grill.

We had a very nice drink and snack at the bar at AKL on our last trip. It is a level up from Boma and Jiko, so it generally doesn't fill up with people with beeper in hand.

I like the bar at AKL as well. I love the AKL atmosphere.

I like the Cali Grill bar too. Its very upscale and has a great wine selection. I did not care for the Outer Rim. I was surprised, it seemed really sterile and uninviting. I do like the Contemporary but the bar was just very cold to me. There was no one in there so maybe that is why. The bar at the Poly is cool but very noisy.

Although not romantic really the Adventurers club at PI is a lot of fun.

I also like the bar at Coronado Springs.

We too enjoyed Victoria Falls at AKL. There was a little noise since it is open and directly above Boma, but it was pretty nice. There might have been 8 people up there (counting the 3 of us and the bartender).

Here's some pics from Allearsnet.com

My favorite is Victoria Falls at AKL. I find Mizner's to be too "stuffy" and the Tambu Lounge and Orbital Rim to be too loud. My favorite park bar is the Dawa Bar in AK.

When you posted quiet and romantic it let out most of my favorites.

I wouldn't call the Tambu that since it's mobbed with people waiting to get into Ohana.

I like the lounge at the Prime Time Cafe and I hang around the Adventurers Club. Neither are quiet or romantic.

I guess it'd be the Belle Vue Room at the Boardwalk. I like the Wilderness Lodge's Territory Lounge but I would not call it romantic.

robinb, now you are talking. Dawa, whenever we are at the AK, I always stop at Dawa for a margarita or two. :thumbsup2

What can I say, I still like the Outer Rim :duck:

LOL! I stand corrected :). I still think Chef Mickey's is too close and there are too many kids in the bar waiting for a table there.

We like the Harambe Coolers there. Are the margaritas frozen?

Scat Cat Lounge at POFQ:

Both the River Roost Lounge and Scat Cat's have live entertainment (i.e. piano players and such) from time to time.

All of these photo's I got off of Deb Wills site: www.allearsnet.com

3 of our favorites:

1) Martha's Vineyard at the BC
2) Crew's Cup at the YC
Both of these are quite relaxed and typically not busy/crowded/noisy.

3) The Bellview at the BW

Our absolute favorite is the R&C at Epcot, but that's a totally different atmosphere. There's nothing better than a Jameson and Coke and a fruit and cheese plate at the R&C. Yum!
