Which bag would work better

Ok, I have the Travelon version of the QVC bag I like it but it can only be worn on one side of your body:eek: after a couple days it became really uncomfortable. I did not overload the bag at all, just a few things. I was glad that I had brought a across the body bag that I picked up at Fossil:cutie: . I would say get both, but I tend to be an over shopper. If both are not an option find one that can be worn on your left and right side.:thumbsup2 Happy day.

I have the Travelon version too and I really like it. I wear it across my body most of the time, but also just hang it from my shoulder sometimes.

I like my backpack. It holds quite a bit and puts all the weight on both shoulders. Plus I have the option to buckle it around my waist which gives it even more support.

The bag I carry in WDW is a mild obsession for me because I made the mistake of carrying a "bad" bag one trip. There is nothing worse than treking through the park and constantly tugging at your bag because it is uncomfortable.

My mom has the Travelon version of the QVC bag and she loves it. I find it a little too small (since I have small kids) and I got the Baggallini messenger which is roomier. But, of the 2 choices, the QVC bag would be my choice.

I took the advice from this board and bought the pricier Baggalini from ebags.

I have taken it on 3 trips to DL, and will of course bring it to WDW next week. I really like it, it's the perfect size, and I love having the zipper pocket on my chest for tickets and fast passes and ID and stuff. It has survived a light rainy day and a drenching at Splash Mountain. Problem is, my DH refuses to carry it, so I have to carry it the whole time. I would imagine if it was a "manlier" color it wouldn't be such a big deal (I have sea foam green, which I don't see on the website anymore).

Good luck! My bag was worth every penny, and this is coming from a girl who does NOT buy things easily.

I purchased a Heys bag, and found that it sits nicely on your hip and is easy to carry. However, since I am normally a backpack girl, I wanted to be able to put the bag on my back instead of in front, and for me the Heys just didn't work. So, thanks to advice on this board, I purchased the Baggallini Messenger, and so far I love it! It is the perfect size, has lots of pockets and rides nicely on my back. A little more money, but to me it's definitely worth it. Now that my DD17 has seen the Baggallini she wants one too. I tried to give her the Heys, but she wouldn't go for it. Darn!

I just purchased a bag from Eddie Bauer: Expedition Small Guide Bag. It has alot of small pockets and one roomy compartment. I think it was 19.99. I really think it will be great for our upcoming trip. (manly enough that DH won't complain about carrying it) I usually carry a baggallini (large wallet) but wanted something just a big larger.

I bought this bag a few week agoat the EB outlet for my up coming trip:banana: I havn't used it yet. Great minds think alike.pirate:

Echo Queen, just curious but what Fossil bag do you have? I picked up one of their Weekender small messenger bags earlier this summer with an eye towards our upcoming trip and since I've been test driving it it's been working out fabulously. Big enough to hold stuff yet small enough that I can't overload it & easy to keep organized, plus it can be worn on either shoulder or across the body.

I prefer backpacks but I hate having my essentials "behind" me, so this Fossil bag seems like a good one.

Personally if it's in the budget, I would just buy both and use them before the trip to see which one I liked better. For our May 2009 trip, I am going to buy a Coach swingpack.

I am not sure of the name of my bag. I would say it is smallish messenger type. The bag and shoulder strap are grey and are the same material with some black detailing. It's very comfortable to wear and as you said you can't really over load it. It's a great bag. I always bring at least 2 bags for touring just in case.:cutie:

I looked at the TravelMate as well, but ended up choosing another travelon bag - http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/...Crinkle-Nylon-Expandable-Hipster-Shoulder-Bag

I didn't like having to lift up the big flap everytime I wanted to get inside the bag. I just got this one about 10 days ago and have it packed and ready for our trip in 2 weeks!:goodvibes The only note I have it that it does not fit the standard size 16 oz bottle of water. It will take a 12 oz, but those aren't the regular size. No big deal to me as I'm putting my poncho in that spot anyway.

If you are set on one of the ones you mentioned, I'd go with the travelmate.

I also purchased a Heys bag, and I hate it. I sent it back. The only thing I liked was the color (pink). I did not like the flip on the front, and it did not seem to stay closed. Also it seem to be rather large and took up the whole side of my hip. You should give it a try maybe it will work for you, but I will just stick to my old small backpack.

I agree. It starts to rub on your neck. I had thought of buying one of those seatbelt pads that velcro's on the should harness of a seatbelt to see if it would help ease the pain. See the link below for a picture of what I am talking about.

Oh another bad thing about this bag because it has a magnet on the front flap that is very strong, it demagnatized my WDW card. So more than once I had to get my card replaced:headache:

If you go with the disney bag since it is canvas and lite colored it may show the dirt easily so I would scotchguard it.

I like this bag. I saw it in person at the QVC store at the mall of america and it is roomy, lite and easy to carry.

I'd recommend the Ameribag small size Healthy back sling bag. I got the distressed nylon version in black. It can be worn cross body or on the shoulder, you can push it behind you (and it will stay) or wear it at your hip, it has lots of organizational pockets, an outside water bottle pocket, and is super comfy ... and can be worn on EITHER hip, which a lot of slings don't allow.

I'm curently loving Lug Bags - Don't have this one yet - http://www.lugtravel.com/product/CAMPER/Camper_Messenger_Bag.html

ButI do have thesehttp://www.lugtravel.com/product/PUDDLEJUMPER/Puddle_Jumper_Overnight__Gym_Bag.html - Great for carryon
The smaller version of the above that I usually use as a purse http://www.lugtravel.com/product/MINI/mini_puddle_jumper.html

And this is the one that I use on day trips when I want minimal stuff on me http://www.lugtravel.com/product/MOPED/Moped_Day_Pack_Bag.html

I love the bright colours and they are holding up well (the carryon is used often as a laptop carrier.
