We are going to Universal and possibly IOA this weekend for my DH's birthday. I've never been to either and I'm a disney fanatic so I'm not sure what is appropriate for a 4 year old. :confused3
I know the obvious thrill rides such as the Hulk, dueling dragons, mummy are out of the question, but what about the tamer stuff like Jaws, Twister, Poseidon, etc? :confused3
There are no height requirements on some of these, but I'm sure most have some scary things and effects.
To give you an idea, my daughter does very well at the Barnstormer in Disney and rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. :thumbsup2 She is also good with heights. Any help is appreciated.

It's hard for me to say because 1) I don't have children yet and 2) I don't know your daughter. The rides you mentioned from Disney give us a little bit of an idea, but I'm still not sure. Part of me thinks that most of the stuff would be okay, but I'd hate to say "yeah, take her on Jaws!" and have you come back here later to tell us she was scared. I'd feel bad. :)

You know what might help you out? Check out YouTube, go there and search for some of the rides at Universal. I never did this before until the other night, and I found that a bunch of people actually filmed the rides while they were on them! The only downside to doing this is that it's kind of a "spoiler" in a way; you might want to experience the ride for yourself instead of seeing a video of it. But then again, it might help you decide, if you can see a video of something like Jaws before actually getting on it with your daughter.

For example, here is Jaws:

Here's Jurassic Park:

Twister (kinda hard to see though):

Poseidon (part 1, but on the right you'll see links to parts 2 and 3)

Search around on there too, there are tons of videos.

Good luck and have a great time!

Thanks. I've already looked at some videos, but like you said, I really don't want to spoil it too much and watch the whole thing, so I just skip around to see how intense it really gets.
