Which attractions do you think need to be retired, replaced or refurbished?

My opinion is:

Snow White at the Magic Kingdom
El Rio boat ride in Mexico at EPCOT
Backstage Pass at MGM
Pocahontas at Animal Kingdom

hmmm, I would say that Stitch just needs to be replaced. It isn't really a great attraction (IMO anyway). I would say El Rio Del Tiempo needs to be updated, although I do love that ride.

I kinda of agree with your list. There was a rumor that they will be updating the El Rio ride for Epcot's 25th aniversary next year with a 3 Caballeros theme.

They should refurbish Jungle Cruise and retire Snow White, Swiss Treehouse, and Sounds Dangerous.

Love El Rio Del Tempo (especially after a little tequila) so disagree there. But definitely agree with Snow White and Backstage Pass. I would add Star Tours to the list. Also agree Stitch needs to be replaced, but not because it is outdated. Rides in dire need of updating include Jungle Cruise, Spaceship Earth, the Living Seas and Imagination.

I think El Rio de Tiempo would be fine if they would update the videos throughout the ride.

ETA: The videos at the end of the Maelstrom in Norway are awfully outdated as well. Now I know why we always skipped it.

I don't think that the Swiss Family treehouse should be removed, however they should put an Emergency Escape Slide at the top for people who can't face another 10 scenes of rickety bedroom sets and fake fruit bowls. Honestly, just for climbing to the top of that monstrosity you deserve to be greeted by Walt Disney himself *dressed* in a Mickey Mouse costume. That may constitute blasphemy on this board but we all know it to be true.

We just got back and I'd have to say the Jungle Cruise is at the top of my list. We were stuck for 15 minutes while they came to tow away a boat that died. Our cruise director said they have had quite a few breakdowns lately. She handled it well, but you can only go over where everyone is from for so long....

I agree about CoP. Bring it up to date, please! Close Stitch, and put in some sort of show or ride, not something that's a show pretending to be a ride. I didn't like AE before it either.

They need to lose the Magic Carpets. It's a waste of space, when you consider the same ride is in Fantasyland dressed as Dumbo. I'd rather see no ride there at all, and allow that as an open area that people can actually have some elbow room in.

Also, any movies like Canada or China in EPCOT left where you have to stand to watch, need to be changed to allow seating. Updating the movies wouldn't be a bad idea as well.

The line queue or something needs to change for the Astro Orbiter rocket ride. That line takes way too long for the ride.

I wished they would have moved Peter Pans Flight to the submarine lagoon and make the ride bigger and longer to accommidate all the people who line up for this attraction. Its one of my favorite rides but I will not even get near that line let alone in it, the ride is fantastic, just needs more space.

Pocahontas needs to be updated, but not taken away. It's the only thing ony Disney property that actually says Pocahontas exists. If someone told me it was a Disney movie, I wouldn't believe it, because there is absolutly nothing Pocahontas in the parks. It's my favorite Disney movie, and I would love to see more mention of it. lol, Sorry, OT

That's funny!

Did someone say remove Magic Carpets of Aladdin :confused3 are you insane man :lmao: Just kidding, this is my kids favorite ride, and somehow I always get spit on by the camel..oh well.

Tarzan rocks is gone, so that would have been #1 Jungle Cruise needs help and Snow White, but I like the older nostalgia so I wouldn't change a thing...especially not the Haunted Mansion, don't even think about it :thumbsup2

:sunny: My kids love the Magic Carpets. They could ride forever. And I like it because the line is much shorter than Dumbo.

Refurbish: Most of the films in the Epcot countries are outdated.
El Rio del Tiempo, I like it but I just can't put my finger on it but it needs some kind of moment of intensity or something.

Retirtement as in BURY THIS ONE FOREVER...Stitch!

DITCH STITCH!

But the one thing that above all else is sorely in need of reburbishment or some kind of renaissance is...

Which outdated videos?
The ones that talk about old history and stuff?
Yeah, they should talk about NEW history that's not so outdated... THEN we'd go see 'em!
