Which attractions best for crazy crowds for solo rider?

I'm going to brave the crowds this week. I'll be in the parks only from about 1-6, so peak crowd time during a peak crowd day. (I have made a reservation in City Walk for dinner at 6:30 so set there). I'll be solo in the parks so I'm curious which rides are the best for crazy crowds - including which ones have the shorter single rider lines. That doesn't show on the app so I haven't had a way to check up on that.

Dragon Challenge is on my list, as I know that one is likely fine. Any other recommendations? I have been several times and will be back, so it's about wait time - not about rides that's shouldn't be missed.

The only ride I found that had a slow single rider line was Rip Ride Rockit.

All of the other ones that had single rider lines I recall getting on fairly quick.

The app says which rides have single rider lines.

I know which ones have single rider lines - just not which ones have reasonable length single rider lines during peak crowds. (Also, sometimes they stop letting people into single rider line when it's too busy). I won't have a cell phone with me in the park to check the apps/wait times. (I don't want to have to use the lockers during peak crowd times).

Dragon Challenge is quite a walk. Just so you know. Also, I recommend that you hit that when it's a low wait time, as you're going to be possibly waiting more for a locker than in the line (if it's a higher wait time), as there isn't enough of lockers to accommodate the amount of people who need to use the lockers.

As for single rider line rides, FJ, Mummy, Spiderman, MIB are usually not that much of a wait.

I can't tell with Hulk and Dr. Doom, as I don't go on Dr. Doom as it hurt me once (besides I don't like the ride experience anyway) and as for Hulk, I haven't been in the single rider line since it's been renovated.

Gringott's and Transformers are a toss up, sometimes it can be short, as sometimes people abuse the single rider line and it can get long when it's past a 30 minute wait. It can happen to any ride, but I notice it happens the most on these two rides in particular. However, if it's past 30 minutes, do not abandon it right away, and still check the single rider line. However, if it's past 45 minutes, it's definitely likely that the single rider line is packed, or might be closed.

RRR, I do not ride often, but what I can tell you, is that you should not necessarily trust the wait time for what it says for single riders. Last time, I went it was "10 minutes" and it was well beyond that.

Either way, my tip for you is that if you're in a single rider line, if it's more than 15 people, 20 tops (if you want to be really patient), just try again later. I'd give general descriptions of where it would be good to turn away in the queues (when it's too much), but it would be to complicated (or too long) of an explanation, so I think it's best to use people rather than location.

As for general queues in the parks, I cannot think of "short" one's off the top of my head, they're all a pretty long walk, depending on how many people they are expecting to be in the queue. But now that I think of it, the shortest one I can think of off the top of my head however is JP.

I'm fine with a walk - just not an excessive waits. By short lines, I mean short times. I've been on Dragon Challenge/Dueling Dragons many times- Even did it 22 times on New Year's Eve day in 1999 thanks to single rider line. (And Hulk 18 and Spiderman 16. Amazing day!)

I will not need the lockers. I am not carrying anything into the park other than my credit card and ticket. I won't have keys nor a cell phone.

Are you basing these short lines on peak days? I've done single rider lines many times in the parks - but only on moderate and low crowd days during the last decade or so. So I'm not sure what to expect during crazy long waits times. I'm hoping your info is about peak times too as that would be great!

Well, Dragon Challenge doesn't have a single rider line anymore. If those are the items that are with you, I hope you're using a lanyard. Anything in the pockets goes into the locker.

I was stating in general, whether low, moderate, or high when I was describing how the single rider lines are. I mean, recently I did almost all the attractions except three (cause we didn't want to go on them) in USF by 3pm on the first day of peak season this holiday season. That was waiting in regular queues. However, by the afternoon there were some serious wait times (up to 60 minutes for certain rides, 95 at the highest for Minions for ex), but whatever attractions that high wait times that we wanted to go on, we already done so in the morning.

However, you do not have that luxury, but things do tend to slow down in the late afternoon / evening.

For USF, the worse rides mid-day are Minions, RRR, Transformers, Gringott's, Simpsons and ET.
For IoA, the worse rides mid-day are Kong, Hulk, DDR, Spiderman and FJ.

This is a general estimate of any time of the year, not necessarily during peak season.

In fact, I just looked at the wait times out of curiosity and there is only one ride in USF that is at 30 minutes, or under and in IoA there are two rides that are under 30 minutes. I'm am actually in shock with how high the wait times are for almost all of the rides as I've never seen such high wait times for the majority of the park, typically it's a handful of the rides, not almost every single one of them.

But as I've said, things slow down in the late afternoon / evening. So, you might be able to get more luck during then, or perhaps after your reservations if you have time to go back to the park before it closes enjoy some more then. As I've seen how much lower the wait times can get as the day gets darker and longer.

Update -even single rider doesnt work in terrible crowds.Single rider lines kept closing. At one time twoopen single rider lines were 1.5hours and just under 200 minutes for another according to team members. (Those rides were FJ and Kong in case youre wondering). Even Spiderman had a 50 minute long single rider line. i did get on Gringotts with a 30 minute single rider line. Mummy took 3 tries but third was a charm as TM said single rider line was short. It took 35 minutes. I left and explored a couple hotels, ate dinner and then finally managed to get on MIB with about 20 minutes single rider line but it was after 7pm by then. I've never seen crowds that bad before. Some express lines were over an hour and several regular lines were over 200 minutes. Even Dragon Challege was an hour and that ride rarely has much of a wait. Luckily, I am local but i felt bad for those who were there who were not.

I know I do feel bad for the tourists who come out of town. The day after I ended up writing that post and looking at all the ridiculous wait times online, I went to work, where we frequently get travelers. A family came in and I commented on their USF / Marvel attire and they said they were going to Universal. I said to them, "Have fun!", but what I really felt like saying is, "Good luck, you should've been there already." It was around 9am. It was still early. However, where I am, we're about an hour and a half away and that's without traffic.
