Which Attraction Would You Defend With No End?

With all of these changes coming to Disney it got me thinking about which attraction I would lay down my life for (well, not really, but you know what I mean) if Disney ever decided to remove it or change it. For me it would be The Haunted Mansion, hands down. It's a Disney classic and my favorite ride in the park.

So, with that said...which attraction, eating joint, or store would you defend to no end if Disney decided to remove it, or change it dramatically?

I'm interested to see everybody's responses.

Those are good, but if you had to pick just ONE, which would it be?

This will sound weird. Toads Wild Ride. It is the first ride I remember on my first trip to DL 19 yrs ago. And is still one of my faves, and I never skip it. :thumbsup2

Nice memory! :)

The Haunted Mansion for me was always one of the most imaginitive and creative attractions at the park. If it went away Disney just wouldn't be the same. I always get depressed when I go and it's down for the holiday installation.

As annoying as the song can be when it gets stuck in your head for hours on end, I would probbly cry if they got rid of or "updated" It's a Small World.

Gosh, everyone of these rides is becoming one I would defend. DSS loves HM. I havent seen it without the overlay in a long time. And SW makes me think of my DNs, and sitting in rain soaked seats :umbrella: . So, for me its all about the memories. (maybe that is true for all of us?)

I know it's the ride everyone loves to hate - but I have to cast my vote with everwondering. It's a small world would be my choice just for sentimental reasons. On my first trip to DL I was afraid of most of the rides, they seemed to scary to me. The one I did love was IASW - I rode it over and over with my very patient grandmother. I don't know how she did it. My grandmother has since passed, but whenever I go with my kids I always drag them along with me on that ride and tell them the story of my first trip to DL with my grandmother.

Splash Mountain for me, that ride is just so awesome, so much magic in that waiting que, the music, the characters, that HUGE waterfall that looms above critter country, IMO, if splash mountain goes, critter country is pretty much pointless lol. :smooth:

Walt's Apartment on Main Street. I know that 99% of people will never get a chance to visit. Thanks to photos posted on the internet, we can all see it though.

I know others on the DIS have been there in person, so I won't give up hope to visit there myself one day.

I would have say Pirates of the Carribean.

I don't mind the fact that it's been changed a bit, and a few more changes are coming up (adding in some more new characters). But, it's my favorite ride, a classic, and I would be completely heartbroken of they ever got rid of it.

My DS(7) would say Star Tours. He LOVES this ride. I don't think he would mind if it got an update (a new Star Wars movie, along with some new shuttle craft movement) to make it a new experience, but he would be CRUSHED, and I mean completely CRUSHED, if they got rid of this ride! (Personally, I really like this ride too, but in my opinion, it's long overdue for an update. It really does need a new Star Wars movie. :thumbsup2 )

I love so many of the attractions at DL, it's hard to pick just one! But if I had to choose from those attractions currently open at the park, I'd choose the Matterhorn. That's the one that says "Disneyland" the most to me.

(10 years ago, it might have been the Peoplemover, though!)

Sorry.I can't pick just one. I know it's selfish.

It would be hard to choose, but, POTC. I haven't seen the new "updated" one, but, it was the ride my DD fell in love with on her first trip.

For me I think it is easier to say which ride would I not defend, and that would have to be Winnie the Pooh! Don't get me wrong, both kids are huge Winnie the Pooh fans, but that ride just does nothing for us, even our 5 year old last year thought it was boring. It ended up breakdown down part way through it and we had to walk out. That ride could go, but touch any of the other rides and I will be there to fight for them!

Thats a hard one...its gotta be Pirates. Haunted Mansion and Thundermountain are a very close second though :teeth:

Oh, I totally agree! If they removed Splash Mountain, I would have to never go to Disneyland again!

I would have to say Pirates of the Carribean. I'm still ticked that after more than 30 years the scene where men chasing women was changed. Putting food in the women's hands makes men look like pigs. These stupid, pathetic women rights groups, they need to get a life.
