Which area to stay in for BOTH Universal & Disney?

Hello!

I want to visit both Universal and Disney on my next trip so I am looking for an offsite hotel between the two. Which area of Orlando should I be looking at? Can anyone suggest a specific offsite hotel that would be between the two?

Any advice would be great!

IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER ESPECIALLY IF YOU CAN FIND A HOTEL WITH COMP SHUTTLE, WHEN WE ARE OFF PROPERTY WE STAY AT H/JOHNSON ENCHANTED FREE SHUTTLE TO DISNEY, SEAWORLD AND UNIVERSAL I THINK OTHER HOTELS OUT THERE OFFER IT ALSO GOOD LUCK

in the SW area in between both US and WDW. (Okay it is a little closer to WDW - but not much)

Did the shuttles from HoJos' get you to the parks before opening?

I have to agree with the SeaWorld area...or even just outside of DTD in LBV near Palm Parkway... that is a very easy commute to Universal & just outside of Disney.

Tell me about the complimentary shuttle from these hotels re:efficiency and time taken?

Going in January 2005, with DH, DD19, DS17 & me. Any suggestions?

The shuttle time vary some leave at 8 am if u want to pm me i can give u the num and you can call directly, i prefer to have a late start and stay out later, im not the earl type

IMO, anything on or around Palm Parkway area would be a good choice. Homewood Suites, Country Inn & Suites, Cypress Pointe or CP Grand Villas. Palm Pkwy turns into Turkey Lake Rd & runs you right to a side entrance for Universal. Palm Pkwy is also about a block or 2 from the Down Town Disney hotels entrance & you can circle your way around to find the different parks & onsite fun stuff like the Boardwalk or the Water Parks.
