I am heading to Disney in June with my friend and my mother and mother in law and am wondering what the best sit down restaurant is in each park?? We are not looking for FINE dining...just some yummy food and great atmosphere. Can someone help??

A lot of that depends on whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner. But here are some we enjoyed:

1. Biergarten at Epcot. German buffet with live entertainment at dinner. They also serve lunch. Excellent food and service, we're going back again this summer. You sit at a table for 8 though, so you if it is only the 4 of you, you would sit with other people at your table. DH and I enjoy this, but I know some people are not comfortable with it. DH, the boys and I sat with a very nice man and his daughter last time, and they never filled the remaining 2 seats.

2. Crystal Palace dinner at MK was great, but it is a character meal. It's a buffet (we loved the food), and Winnie the Pooh and friends are there. It is a very nice restaurant, beautiful inside and located right on Main Street. Some people love going to the castle for the experience though. People also say good things about Plaza, and it is very inexpensive and basic things like sandwiches and salads, ice cream, etc.

3. We liked the character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine at DHS, but the characters are for little ones. This summer, we're trying both 50s Prime Time and Sci-Fi for lunch, since we have 2 days at DHS. I have heard good things about both those places.

As for Animal Kingdom, I have read good things about Tusker House for breakfast, but again, it's a character breakfast. I believe they also serve dinner, but without characters.

There are also some great sit-down restaurants in the resorts.

I would look at the menus at allearnet.com and see what appeals to your group. That being said here are my picks:

AK: Yak and Yeti if you want a TS for lunch or dinner...We actually prefer Flame Tree BBQ. Tusker House breakfast is our favorite anywhere in the World.
DHS: We enjoy both 50's Prime Time (comfort food with a fun atmosphere) and Sci Fi (for burgers, onion rings and milkshakes, also with a fun but entirely different atmosphere)
MK: We don't love the TS options here. We prefer to take the monorail to Kona. But we do enjoy The Plaza in the MK.
Epcot: Too many places to choose from. We have enjoyed our meals at Teppan Edo, Tutto, LeCellier and Coral Reef.

You did not specify if you wanted Table Service or Quick Service, so I listed my favorites at each park. I also listed favorite character meal - just in case.

Take a look at allears.net. They have menus from restaurants all over Disney and are pretty up to date. If nothing else, they will give you a good idea on what is available at some restaurants. There are also pictures on the site so that you can see what the interior looks like.

Then, get online or on the phone and make reservations. If you are going in June, some places may already be booked up. Dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance so people are already booking for Sept...

Here are some of our favorites.

MK - Tony's Town Square or hop to a monorail resort for The Wave (@ Contemporary) or Ohana (@ Poly)

Epcot - LE Cellier, Coral Reef, Teppan Edo

AK - Yak n Yeti

DHS - Sci Fi or 50's Prime Time

We stayed at Saratoga Springs last year and found the Turf Club to be a wonderful hidden gem. It is a close bus ride over to Downtown Disney from that resort as well.

Magic Kingdom: The dining in this park is pretty slim. I'd say that if you absolutely had to stay in the park to eat than Tony's is probably the place for you. If you are willing to hop on a monorail, I can't recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe, enough. You get a good atmosphere, great service and a fantastic menu all for a decent price. And on top of that, you get to tour one of the most elaborately designed hotels in the park on the way.

EPCOT: Chefs de France is fairlyt easy to get into and you have the added bonus of getting a visit from Remy from Ratatouille, if you get there at the right time of the day. It has pretty good food, but it can feel a bit crowded depending on where you get seated. Le Cellier is also a great choice, but it's a lot harder to get a reservation there. Just like in the Magic Kingdom, if you're willing to leave the park, the World Showcase exit has a boat and a short walkway that brings you to the Boardwalk Hotel, where you can find Kouzinna. Great atmosphere and great food combined with decent prices make it a good pick for your criteria.

Hollywood Studios: Either Sci-Fi or 50's Prime Time are the places to go in here. I don't really dig the food at either, but plenty of other people do, so I'm willing to give it another go. Great atmosphere's at both and unique and fun theming. Whether you like the food or not, you will have a good time. It's also a short boat ride to the same group of hotels you can access from EPCOT, if you'd like to leave for a meal.

Animal Kingdom: I would suggest Yak & Yeti in this park. Pretty good menu and food, and an affordable bill. The theming is nice, but the layout isn't the best I've seen. If you're willing to leave from here to eat, catching a short bus ride to Animal Kingdom Lodge will get you to Boma. Great family atmosphere and great food in a buffet experience. One of the best in the parks. The new restaurant Sanaa is also very good, but a little more expensive.
