I've spent 15 minutes Googling and can't lock down a definitive answer! I can't believe I can't find this info.

Cozumel
Falmouth
Grand Caymen
Castaway Cay

Which are tendered ports? THANK YOU

Castaway Cay NO

FYI:
Cabo San Lucas YES
Ensenada NO
Juneau MAYBE (lots of ships, limited docking)
Skagway NO
Sitka YES

No. DCL requires someone 21+ to be booked into a stateroom with a minor. Those age 18-20 can be booked into a room together, but cannot be booked at the adult in a stateroom with under 18's unless the minor(s) is a child(ren) of the 18-20. I hope that made sense.

Been to Juneau three times on the Wonder (2017,2019 and 2022) and always docked (the furthest dock from town ), never tendered.

On our one Alaska cruise we had to make a U-turn to meet a rescue medieval medevac helicopter, which evacuated a sick passenger, lost a couple of hours sailing time, and we lost our dock assignment (different cruise line). I think it's a "maybe" if you go to any port where there are any tendered ships although a premium cost cruise line like Disney might pay a price to hold a dock reservation, if that's doable 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Oh interesting. Well things certainly do happen. Gotta be prepared to turn on a dime as it were.

DCL tries very hard not to go to ports they have to tender at. Unlike other cruise lines, DCL relies on independent tender companies and not their own boats. DCL will pay premium prices to guarantee a pier if they are available. Some places like Grand Cayman and Catalina do not have cruise piers. It is always iffy whether or not you can tender because of weather. We were unable to tender at Catalina last week because of the weather.

I have been to Sitka twice with DCL and we never tendered there. They use a pier away from downtown and bus people into the main area.

In Geiringer, DCL paid to use the pier that unfolded out to meet the ship. It was a marvel in engineering and was pretty cool. The other ships had to tender around ours.

Ok. My Alaska experience is from 2006 and a different cruise line, so *nevermind*.
