I'm looking into buying an Annual Pass. Do both the Preferred and Premier offer discounts on the onsite hotels?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, just remember that they don't always have discounted rates for passholders and when they do there are a limited number of rooms available.

Yes, so make sure you book your room before you purchase the pass. You don't need to have the pass number or anything to actually do the booking.

This, plus you can check to see if they have passholder discounts through their website if you don't want to keep calling.

Go to the page where you check availability and at the bottom you have a place to select either "promotion" or "group" - select "promotion" and then in the box immediately underneath that type in "aph".

Thank you both :).

I was going to wait to we arrived to get the AP since I was upgrading a ticket (do they do this at Universal)?

Yes, you can upgrade your ticket. Just pay the difference.:thumbsup2

do what the homies above posted.

book the room now with the ap rate.
only a certain % of rooms and types are open for ap discounts.
once they are gone, you can not get that discount on your room.

once you check into the hotel, redeem the ap voucher for pass.
in your case, use your ticket to get into the park and upgrade it at guest services.
(or use the outside gs window.)
show your ap when you buy merch or food for the 10% discount.

if asked, show the ap to the front desk lobby once you have it.
do this sometime during your stay and before check out.
