Which Animal Kingdom show?

Finally starting to complete my plans but I'm struggling with Animal Kingdom. Mainly because we won't have the full day and there's a lot we want to do :/ I'm basically trying to decide if we should see the Finding Nemo show or Flights of Wonder. My siblings are of no help (one wants both the other doesn't care) and I'm trying to plan for the whole family. Parents, siblings and I age 20 and younger siblings ages 14 and 10. I've gone before but haven't seen either and Lion King is already on our list. Which one do you prefer and which one would you suggest to first timers?

For years we just walked past Flights of Wonder until 2 years ago and finally went to see it. We love the show and can't believe we bypassed it. I didn't like the Finding Nemo show. Felt like seeing the people who work the puppets was really distracting. Check on youtube and see if you can find videos of both and then make your decision.

I am no help as both are must do's for me. Watching them on youTube is a great idea. Flights of Wonder is a much shorter show if length of show matters.

Both are great shows!

My vote would be with Nemo. But, it depends on your interests. Finding Nemo is a musical show, and Flights of Wonder is a show with trained animals. I would go with your whichever strikes your fancy.

Like Nohal, we skipped FOW for years, not realizing exactly what it was all about. It's a must do for us now, too. Nemo I can see or miss- its never been all that to us.

I did Nemo once and don't feel the need to go back. It's basically a re-enactment of the film with live puppetry. Between waiting in line, waiting for the show to start, and sitting through the actual show, I felt like I was wasting a lot of park time.

I stumbled across FoW on my last trip and LOVED it!

Well, I saw Nemo for the first time, last year, it was just ok for me, and I do like musicals. I think we will be skipping it this year. I don't even like birds, and I am afraid of them, but FoW was a good show. Will probably go to it again this year. :)

Wow sounds like FoW is more popular than I thought it would be! I was leaning a little towards that one because we are all huge animal lovers and I feel like it would appeal to the guys more. I'll check out videos as well but thank you guys!

We really like them both--you won't go wrong with either! I'll throw one other factor in to consider. Flights of Wonder is an outdoor show. It's shaded and I think I remember some fans near the entrance, but it is outdoors. If you're looking for a respite from the mid-afternoon heat, Nemo is indoors. Indoors=air conditioning!

Imo...key word IMO

Finding nemo show is a big waste of time. We didn't like it at all, and we enjoy Broadway musicals. We'd rather they gut the show and turn it into something different. Flights of wonder was good. I would do flights of wonder or ride rides

Lion king>>

After over 27 visits to WDW, I have never done FOW as my daughter doesn't like birds. Did Nemo once, bleh..I miss Tarzan Rocks, loved that show. Lion King is my fave show of all of the shows, but I guess if I had to pick another, I would try FOW. (would have to go without my daughter though lol)

Well if you've ever gone to a disney on ice show that had nemo in it, it's basically that just with huge puppets and no ice and more music. The bird show is great if you like animals and theres volunteer opportunities. Keep in consideration for that day, fow is outside while nemo is indoors in ac. If it's sweltering outside you may just want to head into nemo for crowd/ heat relief.

We always go to Flights of Wonder.....very good show.
Finding Nemo just once every few trips.

We love love LOVE Nemo! Concise telling of the story, fantastic costumes & performers. The music is great, and the singing is top notch.

Side note: I once got to meet some of the puppeteers and hear them talk about their training, and now i like the show even more! They studied tai chi, and if you can focus away from the puppets you'll see it - they are always moving, as if in water.

If you time it right, you can hit all 3 back to back to back with little to no waiting.

A few weeks ago (June 6), we hit Nemo at noon, Lion King at 1 and Flights at 1:45. There I just enough time to walk to the next theater before show time.

I have never made it to Nemo yet - we love Lion King and wouldn't miss it. We'd like to see all 3, but just never fit them all in. Flights of Wonder gets picked for us because it's very different from Lion King and, while I know Nemo is still different too, it's still based on a movie and filled with song and dance, so we pick FoW and miss Nemo every time!
