I was bored and just wondering around the internet when I found this. It's actually fairly amusing...and quite accurate too since I was born in CA.

My result: Western- Western is kind of neutral, but not quite since it`s still possible to tell where you`re from. So you might not actually be from the West (but you probably are). If you really want to sound "neutral," learn how to say "stock" and "stalk" differently.

I tried to pronounce the 'l' in stalk more, though, and it just sounded weird. I think I like my way better. ;>__<

I'm from Michigan, so I obviously got the Michigan accent.

Which American accent do you have?

My Results:

Northern You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent
(easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

My Results:

Neutral You`re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you`re just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don`t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.

I'm actually from NEPA so the map is a little off.

Eh. I guess I don't really have much of an accent.
I mean, I don't have a full blown NY accent, but when I get frustrated I say "NO" like "NO-UHHHHHHH!" and then you can hear some Jersey in me.
Plus I say "room" like "rum" if I'm not concentrating on it.
For the most part, I guess I sound neutral. But I talk REALLY FAST.

Northeastern

This could either mean an r-less NYC or Providence accent or one from Jersey which doesn't sound the same. Just because you got this result doesn't mean you don`t pronounce R's.(People in Jersey don`t call their state "Joisey" in real life)

Im from Long Island so thats close. But I pronounce my R's !

Ditto. If I don't pay attention when I talk, I say:

wooder - water.
no-uhhhh - no.
stop-uhhhh - stop.
rum - room.
yes-uhhh - yes.

And I talk VERY fast. My mouth moves faster than my brain at times.
