Which All Star???

I am starting to plan an August holiday, just me & my two DS (10 & 12) & have decided to stay at one of the values. Originally, I just figured we'ld stay at POP but I'm wondering if maybe I might just be passing up something good at one of the All Stars!! So, a mom with two boys.....were would you stay & why? Any info you have that you think would help me make a choice would be VERY appreciated!! Pics too if you want!! Thanks Dis!

now for girls movies. but I think boys preferrred sports to movies?

Personally I do love All Star Movies! However transportation the first time I stayed there was a nightmare because of it going to all 3 all stars for pick up and drop off. Last time only had this problem when a group of cheerleaders (around 300) tried to go to Downtown Disney on the same bus as me (well actually they were split on to 3 buses) but the transport seemed a lot less crowded either due to it being Jan or because they have put more buses on. Pop has its own bus as so when I go in Sept Im staying at Pop. If however ur renting a car Id always go for ASMovies as the atmosphere is fantastic (would be great with kids too)

Two boys might enjoy the ASSp for the theme, plus the rooms have been recently remodeled.

Movies has the best food court. No 2 ways about that.
Theming is all up to personal taste.
I prefer the bus service at Movies. Here's why:

When the 3 resorts share a bus, Movies is the last to be picked up. Some people complain about this, but seriously, wouldn't you rather just be picked up and head directly to the park as opposed to being picked up and making 1 or 2 more stops? Plus, if it's ever so crowded that there's only standing room left, they will send another bus soon after.

Let's say you're leaving the Magic Kingdom at closing. It's packed. You're staying at Movies. You get to the bus area and the line for the Movies bus is long. The line for the Music bus is short. Just take the Music bus. The walk to some of the rooms at Movies is shorter taking the Music bus.

You'll notice, at super busy time, all 3 have their own bus. At busy times, Sports and Music share, while Movies has their own. At slow times, they'll all share. Overall, Movies is your best option in terms of bus service.

We love POP and have stayed there many times, but we just came back two weeks ago from ASMu. It was awesome!! Plus, they just did a rennovation and put new beds in! We didn't have to share a bus any, so that part was fine too. It was quiet an we didn't see too many people around until breakfast.

Music is awesome!!!!

Sports! And by the time you get there, the remodeling should be complete and you'll get a "brand new" room!

Music! It tends to be quieter than the other All Star resorts, especially Sports.

I voted for Movies- it was our first stay. Interestingly, DS wants to stay at ASMu for our next trip.

I like Movies the best. Will go there from now on.

Music is our favorite--we like the layout and the theming and it seems to be the quietest of the 3 All Stars. Movies runs a close second. Sports is 3rd choice, mainly because the food court is a lot smaller than Movies or Music, and neither of us are into sports in general. We would still choose All Star Sports over Pop any day, though.

Though I have boys, I'm not sure that they are that IN TO sports...more into video games!! LOL! Either way, I guess I'm just wondering if there is much of a difference between these three hotels in terms of buses, restaurants, pools, arcades, etc. It is nice of course to have fresher, updated, renovated rooms too!!

I suppose it really is subjective. Of course, I would hate to get there & have a group of loud kids from some cheerleading conference staying next to me too!!!

you are definitely looking at the wrong resort.

Pop has the best arcade.

POR is a close second - but the Pop has all better equipment.

of course nothing is worst than going to WDW and having the kids refuse to leave the arcade or pool.

I know that the rooms at Sports are being renovated right now, and that Music was recently done, but has Movies been done or is that next? We are going in March and trying to decide between Music and Movies.

I would not do Sports again if you put a gun to my head.

Our impressions of Sports was that many of the dads had one too many adult beverages. It just seems more hectic/loud than Music.

I have ressies at Pop, but now you all have me wondering if I should try music? We do love Pop and have stayed at AsMo before, but never at ASMu. Any opinions?
