Hope I spelled those names right! Looking to rent points for a few nights before our check in at YC next June. I have stayed Jambo before and I am not a big AKL lover. Just not me. DD however is bringing a friend for the first time next summer (they will be 15 and 13) and the girls thought they would enjoy AKV over any other villa. So is there a difference between the two houses? We would be staying Sudio SV hopefully just not sure if one savannah is better than the other or better accomations/food court at one over the other. Guidance is so appreciated!!! We will only stay 2 or 3 nights here and will be visiting AK park for one of the days and resort day for the other...

There isn't much difference in the Jambo/Kidani square footage wise.

At Jambo, you're going to get 2 sinks in the vanity area compared to 1 at Kidani. Kidani has a very small counter service located in the pool area so for a true quick service location you'll need to head to The Mara in Jambo. Kidani's studios are located on lower floors thus perhaps a better view of the animals whereas Jambo's are on higher floors where you may luck out with an awesome view of the animals or a tree.

The only full QS restaurant (the Mara) is located at Jambo house. If you are staying at Kidani it will be a walk or a bus ride away.

I have only stayed at Kidani and that was after it first opened. I loved it, but I do think the lobby of the Jambo house is much more impressive. I'm really not sure if there is a huge difference in the savannah views. Both areas have lovely public viewing areas that are comparable.

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with either resort. You might want to show your daughter the pool areas at both resorts and see what she likes better. Pool convenience may be a top priority for teenage girls.

I think AKL (both kidan and jambo) is a great choice. The animals, the top notch pools, and the various restaurants are all great.
