Which airlines to AVOID?

I perfer ATA as well. They were always very nice and I will continue to use them and I love there N/S flights and there times.

Just wanted to clarify that ATA was not the airline having crashes a few years back. You may be thinking of ValuJet, which is now basically AirTran, but they only had one major incident. I have used ATA a lot over the years and (for the most part) had very good experiences with them.

Spirit Airlines flies out of O'Hare and is currently running a special of $39.00 each way to most of their destinations if you can travel on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. We just booked tickets on them for a September trip to Fort Lauderdale to visit family and paid under 97.00 round trip including all taxes and fees.

Wow! I would never ever ever even if it was free (and I did turn down free passes for my family of 5) fly on ATA again. I am shocked to hear that so many have been happy with them. A friend of mine has flown them twice and hates them as much as I do. Seemed like everyone on the flights we were on who had flown them in the past didn't like them at all (WHY they were flying them again, I do not know!)

Hmmm, do you all have direct flights with them? Maybe, maybe, that would help.
