Roc and love a peel called vi-peel, look it up it removes brown spots and makes your skin look silky smooth-not invasive at all. You would have to go to the drerm for the vitamin peel.
I asked my dermatologist and she said the only thing that really works is retin-A... she writes me a scrip and then I get it from Canada, brand name stuff for about $35 for a couple months worth.
for day use, I used Loreal products.

Day: Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum (great!), Regenerist Eye Listing Serum (thinking of switcing to somethign else on this), and Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream (great! - don't like the Regenerist daytime Cream or Lotion)
Night: Olay Regenerist Daily Serum, Olay Regnerist Night Recovery Cream (super great!)
I alos use the Olay Microdermabrasion & Peel Kit a couple times a month. Directiosn say use it twice a week, but I get by w/ the twice a month fine, and it makes it last waaay longer.
Tried the Regenerist Facial Cleanser and hated it. Left my face feeling greasy or like it had some kind of film on it.
Facial sunscreen
Thanks for your responses everyone.
I'm in my early 30's and have never been to the dermatologist. I think I am going to bite the bullet and make an appointment. I have olive skin and have spent my life in the sun. I've only become diligent about sunscreen since I had my daughter 5 years ago. So, before I start buying products, I think I will go and have them check out my skin. I'm sure they are going to yell at me for not using sunscreen for years........
Another thumbs up to the Retin-A. My cosmetic surgeon said that every women should be using this daily.
My insurance covers it and it works great when combined with the Obaji products I am using.

I have used both too. Obaji is expensive, but you don't need much.
I have a problem with follow through on the products. When my skin gets red and irritated, I stop for a few days and I'll start again later only to stop again. I *know* I'm not getting the benefit. The main reasons I stop is it's unsightly and it's painful to use sunscreen. I wish I could stick with the process.![]()

ditto. Have tried over and over and over again, but I get sick of the red peelies and I stop (and I use a very low dose). Anyone have tips on how to get past this?!![]()
I use coconut oil (organic, unrefined virgin) to remove my eyemakeup, also to moisturize my face and body and hair. I love it.
I need to look up how long you're supposed to continue. I guess if I knew how long to go past that stage (within reason) I'd continue. It doesn't feel right to make it worse, even though I know that's to be expected. I've just been conflicted with it.
