Hi

Just wondered which places you would recommend for dining with kids.

I'll book the character meals but other than that I wondered which ones you would say had the best kids menus - i.e. something other than chicken nuggets etc.

Any ideas???

I don't know so much about the menu-have no kids-but for atmosphere Sci-Fine Dine-in at DS is fantastic-unless your kids are really easily spooked by the clips, its a great experience.

We really enjoyed Biergarten last year - lots of choice (no chicken nuggets!) and entertainment that lots of kids were dancing too :goodvibes

Restaurants that do family platters like Ohana, Liberty Tree are good for kids.:thumbsup2 Mama Melrose, woolfgang puck, Rose & Crown were all liked by my DD as well.

Really enjoyed the Whispering Canyons cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. The servers have some fun things they do for kids and the resort is great to look around. The boat from the front of the MK makes it easy and fun to get there.

mine are a little bit older but they all enjoyed the Sci-Fi diner and the breakfast in the AKL - infact the breakfast in the AKL was the best we had while we was there - esp the sausages:thumbsup2

was also gonna say whispering canyon, the kids loved the skillets! but anywhere with buffets works. also teppan edo went down a treat, they ate every bite and loved the show of cooking their food in front of them:goodvibes

My DD loved Whispering Canyon but DS hated it - he didn't like all the antics of the waiters and was nervous for the length of the meal that he'd be picked out.

Both have loved Sci-Fi dine in. We first went there when DD was 4 and DS was 7. They're 15 and 18 now and have insisted that I book it for our upcoming trip.

Cant remember what else was on the menu but my kids had the fish at Coral Reef and it was nice.

Kids meals are crazy, I wish they would just offer you a half portion of what ever the main is, they can do it in most cases.

I don't mind my kids eating chicken nuggets and fries but every day on your holiday is a bit much.

We have just got back from a month long trip around the West Coast of America and took to ordering an adult meal and sharing it out between them just to get some vege into them.

We have make sure no one at the table orders fries however, if we want them to eat anything else because once they see them that is all they want and will eat.

In The Land at Epcot - you can get a counter service kids meal of a chicken leg, rice & carrots - this is really nice (you can have mashed potato as an alternative) :)
