I currently have two reservations on hold for Cinderella’s Royal Table, one for 8:55 a.m. on our first day at Magic Kingdom, and one for 8:40 p.m. on that same day. This is our first trip to Disney, and I’m not 100% sure which would be best. We will be spending two days at Magic Kingdom during this trip. Any advice on which to choose?

Either will work since they're only 15 minutes apart on the same day.
One is AM, one is PM

OP - It really depends on your personal preference. Personally I wouldn't do either because I don't like to miss prime park touring time at RD and for my family, 8:40pm is too late for dinner. But if you are ok with missing rope drop touring and/or missing HEA, then either will work.

My main concern is missing HEA. I would prefer an earlier ADR for breakfast, but this is all that was available at 180 days, and has become available (according to my alerts). EMM at MK is the morning of, but we do not have tickets to that “event.” Should crowds from EMM factor into this decision as well?

EMM isn't very big, a couple hundred people. Personally I'd keep the morning one, but I don't care as much about rope drop/early touring. 840 is way too late for me to eat dinner...

Hmmm...that is a lot of money to spend on breakfast food so Id probably pick the dinner. Plus the mornings are great for seeing more of the parks while crowds are lower so I tend to shy away from booking long sit down breakfasts.

But....int eh evening id make sure the reservation did not interfere with seeing the fireworks unless you plan to see them on your other day at MK

If it was me, I would keep looking for a lunch reservation. Lunch reservations are a great way to have a mid day break so you can relax and leave the mornings open for enjoying parks while they are less crowded and evenings free for fireworks.

It looks like most everyone agrees that a morning ADR is best, so we decided to keep this reservation and cancel the evening option. Thank you all for weighing in on it. We really would like to see the full fireworks show, so it makes the most sense for our family. I’m still keeping my eye out for an earlier reservation than the 8:55 a.m. one we currently have, but I’m not sure I’ll be lucky enough to get something as early as 8 a.m.

Lunch would be ideal, but even at 180 days out there were none available when I tried to book.

I don’t care a ton about rope drop, either, but we will be leaving the park midday for my youngest to nap at the hotel. This will eat up a large chunk of our day, so I am trying to maximize the time we will be spending in the park. We are utilizing a very relaxed touring plan, so we are not scrambling to do everything in the park. But we also don’t want to miss our must-dos because of poorly timed ADR’s.

I'm not seeing anyone comment regarding PPO meals, so I'll take a stab at it. At other places, if you're there for a PPO meal, they will generally seat you right when you get there, whether your ADR is 8:00am or 8:30. So, I would go in right at 7:45, head back, and see if you can get an early table. My only concern would be with whether CRT is treated differently for some reason. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

Keep checking...something may open up. CRT may be a little different from other restaurants since you have to pre pay in advance, but for most places, on the day or two before you want to go, things usually open up...Good Luck! :)

I’d pick the morning and keep trying for an earlier time so as not to miss out on shorter lines early in the morning. Personally I would skip it, but if going there is important to you, just make sure that that particular reservation is more important than easy ride lines. I know you said it’s your first trip to Disney, so understand that the lines get crazy long. Like and hour or more. And rope drop can save you from some of that.

8:40pm is late for dinner, but I would prefer it because I would hate to miss the prime time in the morning for rides. The lines are SO much shorter in the morning before 10am and you can get so much done in the morning that I hate doing long breakfasts which cut into this time. We usually do breakfast before park opens or grab something quick and eat while we're walking from ride to ride.

It really depends on your traveling party. If you have younger kids in your party the the later dinner time would not be a good idea. I would stick with the breakfast, might be a little less expensive and you will get to see HEA like you want to.

EMM does not add much to the crowds. Do not worry about this.

The only downside to having an ADR at that time is that you will be missing the benefit of being there at RD with lower crowds and waits, but considering how hard it is to get an ADR at CRT I would do breakfast and just enjoy your morning at the park. It is a wonderful experience. Just set your FP to start around 10:30 or 11:00am so you can start your park touring after your breakfast.

This is awesome! Hopefully someone will chime in on this. I would definitely be willing to try, and if it is a no, we can hang out and take pictures until time for our ADR.
