Which 4 ADR's would you cancel?

Hi, guys!

I have all my ADR's set up for August (except Bistro which is 30 days out)

However, over 14 days, I have 25 TS meals! I really need to cut some out for financial and dietary reasons. I still like TS for dinner, but I'm thinking of cutting down the breakfasts and lunches I have here. Here are the ones I am thinking about cutting:

Garden Grill lunch
Beaches and Cream lunch
Fresh! breakfast buffet
Boma breakfast buffet
Bistro de Paris dinner
Brown Derby lunch
Raglan Road lunch
50's Prime Time lunch

I'd like to cut out at least four or five of them. I've already been to Boma and 50's Prime Time but my bf has only been to Boma out of these. I will have a DDE card so I do get a discount but I don't think it's accepted at Fresh! or Raglan Road, so I was leaning to cancelling those 2 to start out with.

Any help would be appreciated!

Ragalan Road does accept DDE, We loved this restaurant! :thumbsup2

Boma is great, but if you've already been there, why not cut that one first. I would cancel Beaches and Cream, too, and just drop in for a snack, instead. As far as 50's Prime Time Cafe...well, it was okay, but we didn't luck out with a really fun waitress, soooooo, I wouldn't keep that ressie. If you haven't been to Brown Derby before, I would definitely go...and it's less expensive at lunchtime! Also, since you're going with your boyfriend, I would keep the Bistro ressie....I haven't been there before, but I hear it's romantic.

Enjoy your vacation! :)

I would cut out

Fresh, Raglan Road, Beaches and Cream, Brown Derby.

I just think the others are must do's, if I was choosing. Good luck, its hard picking where to and not to go.

Garden Grill lunch <--- cut out
Beaches and Cream lunch
Fresh! breakfast buffet <--- cut out
Boma breakfast buffet <--- cut out
Bistro de Paris dinner
Brown Derby lunch <--- cut out
Raglan Road lunch
50's Prime Time lunch

I would cut Boma Breakfast, Raglan Road, 50s Prime Time lunch and Brown Derby Lunch..... :sunny:

We did Garden Grill for lunch last year and we did not enjoy it. Especially if you are going for the character experience. The characters are not accessible at all, you only see them when a CM brings them by, and sadly a lot of times they forget!

We enjoyed Boma, but I guess if you have been there that would be a second choice to cut.

Good luck choosing!!

Last year the Garden Grill went through some major changes but now it is back to normal. It is a very fun place for us and for a lot of other people!

No wonder ADRS are becoming so hard to get! ;)

It's a bit difficult to suggest which you should drop without knowing what else you've got planned for those days. However, I think Beaches and Cream is possibly the most over-hyped, over-rated restaurant onsite, so I'd have to pick that.

Well, I actually have 23 ADR's because I couldn't even make Bistro yet (30 days out) and Beaches and Cream doesn't take them, but the problem is that I was supposed to be working 2 shifts 8-11:30 and 12-3:30 for summer school, but they changed the schedule due to the amount of students (more failed Math than English, and I teach English) and cut me back to just the morning one. Therefore, since I won't have as much extra money, plus I'm trying to lose weight anyway, I thought cancelling some of my ADR's might be for the best.

Anyway, here are my current plans:

day 1- Arrival- lunch at Dolphin Fountain, dinner at bluezoo. (not changing bluezoo)

day 2- MK- dinner at LTT

day 3- dinner at Spoodles

day 4- lunch at San Angel Inn (We *love* the Sopa Azteca, so we will each order a margarita and a bowl of soup for lunch. Maybe share an appetizer or nachos if we're really hungry, so this won't cost too much.)
dinner at Rose and Crown

day 5- dinner at CRT

day 6- breakfast at RFC
dinner at Jiko (not changing Jiko)

day 7- lunch at Garden Grill
dinner at Olivia's (meeting friends, not changing this one either)

day 8- breakfast at Crystal Palace
dinner at Kona Cafe (my favorite place)

day 9- breakfast at Kona Cafe (ditto)
lunch at Beaches and Cream
dinner at Raglan Road

day 10- breakfast at Fresh!
dinner at Le Cellier

day 11- lunch at 50's Prime Time
dinner at Flying Fish

day 12- breakfast at Spoodles
dinner at Bistro de Paris

day 13-lunch at Brown Derby
dinner at Mama Melrose (FDP)

day 14- breakfast at Boma

I italicized the ones that I was questioning.

Thanks again! I really appreciate all the feedback; it's very valuable!

LuLu,

I'm a pooh sized woman, and I love to eat, but even I couldn't handle all those TS meals at Disney.

If you do a TS breakfast and dinner - I would skip the lunch. If you do a TS lunch (late), I would skip the TS dinner.

I also think if you have all those ADR's you'll find yourself a slave to your meal schedule.

Some of your posts really helped! I've bolded the ones that I cancelled so far. I wanted to call before Disney Dining closed.

I am still considering cancelling Boma, 50's PT or Bistro, but it will depend on if I can share a meal at Bistro. I really like the idea of their romantic, adult atmosphere. DBF really wants to do Garden Grill, so I'm keeping that but I think we may just do salads or appetizers at Olivia's.

Lizanne, your post made me laugh. We don't usually eat more at TS meals than at CS meals, since we share a lot of the time, but I just looked at all the ADR's and felt it was just too much, too! I decided I needed help choosing which ones to keep and which ones to go. My problem is that I am a TS snob, lol. I love taking a break to sit in a cool, themed restaurant and have someone bring me a drink. But over 2000 on food is ridiculous and I needed to cut back. I appreciate those who helped me do so.

And if anyone needs an ADR, call now for the ones I just released!

I will be checking back and reconsidering a couple more cancellations.

I would cancel Raglan Rd, 50's Prime Time, Fresh, and thats all I can say cuz I really like the rest. Maybe instead of Garden Grill you can go to Sunshine Seasons?

Def cut out Boma breakfast, not worth the travel time. Actually I would cut out any breakfast that is not within walking distance from your resort (unless it's in the park you are going to). I love breakfast, but was disappointed by Boma. Not enough exotic items to differentiate it from other breakfast buffets.

Also, LTT for dinner is not worth it imo (but it's loved so by some). Garden Grill does not sound so great either.

I am guessing the changes were made after Thanksgiving, that is when we were there last year. I am glad to hear that they fixed it because my DS and DD were disappointed in the character experience. The food was great though!
