Which 2 days in July?

Would it be better for me to go on Saturday, 7/8 and Sunday, 7/9 or Wednesday, 7/12 and Thursday, 7/13? I know the D23 Expo starts Friday, 7/14, and didn't know if the crowds would be unbearable toward the end of that week.

This is the only week we will be able to go and will have to drive 3-4 hours (visiting family in Las Vegas). We have never been to Disneyland (only Disney World) and would love to visit for a couple of days, but want to make sure it is going to be worth driving. Main concern is the crowds.

Do you know the dates they are blacked out? We will be there the 3rd - 4th and I assumed it would be super busy.

Looks like the deluxe pass and California passes are blocked the 1st and 2nd of July
