Day 4 Sunday 15th July 07
Me Disney fanatic - I stomped through Disneyland Paris in 1994, since why come to a theme park when youre in Paris, yes really! Favourite PM
Diane (DP) Long suffering Disney widow, buts loves it all anyway. Favourite BTM
Morgan (DD9) 9 year old Disney fan. Favourites now RnR, BTM, Pirates of the Caribbean
Jack (DS) 7 year old Disney, Star Wars fan. Favourites now BTM and Star Tours Autopia
Robyn (DD5) 5 year old Disney fan. Loves parades and Casey Jr
Tom - TomTom sat nav that will get a full workout this trip, but day off today
Up at 8.30hrs this morning and let the troops lie in till 09.00hrs.
After breakfast we head into the Disneyland Park.
The 15th celebrations must have an effect on the hotel occupancy and bottom line of the parks. Ill be disappointed if my shares dont go up. I expect at least .001 :lol
This is also a mixed day of emotions as it is nieces birthday. Since her death we have always celebrated it by letting a balloon off at home. We decide that well get a Minnie balloon and let it off from the castle. We smile as we hear quite a few voices saying oh what a shame, obviously thinking another child has lost a balloon.
Once again the park is really busy and we find it difficult to get FPs at times that suit.
We do however have a go on Buzz and we all declare this a new favourite. CM clocks me trying to take a copy of the ride photo with my camera and gives me a mild ticking off
We head back to DCR around 12.00 and chill for a while around the ranch and have a nice lunch outside at the cabin.
I think around 1.30pm we head back to the parks. The security at Hotel New York gives us a knowing nod as he waves us through. DD shouts bon jour and the security guard responds with an enormous smile
First stop is Big Thunder Mountain followed by Phantom Manor; my favourite
After a wander around Adventureland we decide that tonight well eat at The Lucky Nugget restaurant. We go over to the restaurant at 5.15pm and book for 6.00pm.
We were going to make our way over to Fantasyland but decide instead to relax on the benches until Lucky Nugget opens.
The restaurant is a hit and a miss
To explain, DD and I both think the food is excellent and go back up a few times. Youngest DD and DS; I think because they were in a slight mood, decide they dont like much. This affects DP who tries hard to get them to eat something.
We are seated right at the stage which turns out to be fine as we catch the characters either as they come in or as they leave.
A few children chase the characters around the room but thankfully the CM minders tell them that they will not get autographs/photographs until they wait with their parents at their table
Gepetto, Friar Tuck, Sherriff of Nottingham, Prince John, one of the Country Bears, Eeyore, Tiger all come out.
In between characters everyone has at least some food to eat.
As we stay for a while some of them come back out again.
With shareholders discount we are 98.94.
