It's late on Sunday afternoon... and I just got back into the house after spending most of the day outside. I pulled all the annuals up from my new flower beds around the house. Whacked back the foilage on the perennials in those same beds, added a couple of inches of my "homebrew" compost.... and then dug it all in and raked it smooth. They look all tidy and ready for the winter... come spring... all I will need to do is add fertilizer, dig and smooth it again... and PLANT!
I have half of the main garden done already.. but I have another large flower bed to do and the vegetable garden to put to bed yet. I hope to work one garden in a weekend between now and DISCON.
Then the winter project... is to plan what goes in those beds next year!
