Got the renewal email for our APs, and it's still the same as it has been! Going from universalorlando.com's ticket page, the Preferred renewal is still less than a 2 day park to park hopper.

So we'll be renewing again, because I'm quite sure we can get in at least two days inside the next AP year!

Plus the hotel discounts, food and merchandise discounts and free parking aren't shabby either!

We are buying AP's for the first time, as we are going in October and again in April or May. I was trying to decide between Power Pass and Preferred Pass. Anyone know when the blackout dates are for 2015, or when they would be released? Would hate to buy the regular pass and find out later that our spring dates are blacked out.

Thanks!

Blackout dates aren't usually released until the first of the year and a lot will depend on whether a new attraction opens at IOA next summer. I would go ahead and spend the extra money for the Preferred AP instead of the Power Pass. It will save you money before you know it.

You can always upgrade a power pass to a preferred pass after you've purchased it.
