Where would be nicer for a 30th birthday meal, including two young children?

Thanks

With kids? I would say Jiko's. My DD loved the PB&J there as it was on rainbow colored bread and then you can visit the animals after dinner. They have night vision goggles available for night viewing on one of the public viewing areas.

They are both nice.
Jiko has much much much better food. I would go to Jiko!

Both Yachtsmen and Jiko are "nice". They are very different. Jiko has a much more upscale atmosphere. Food is good at both - it depends on if you are looking for a "Steakhouse" or an upscale restaurant. Yachtsmen is a wonderful steakhouse - we've always been very pleased there. (But then again we're the type of people that always order the filet at Jiko!)

If it were my birthday dinner, I would let my other plans help me decide. From Jiko you can walk around the AKL and look at the animals but from Yachtsmen you can hang around the Boardwalk area.

It's a hard call - they're both very good!

We have eaten at both with DD4 and prefer Jiko to Yachtsman Steakhouse. If you go to Jiko, get the fillet with the wine reduction. I'd kill for that reduction.
