other than the adult beach

I would like to know what spot on the Family beach is your favorite? I checked out the map that Barb provided and I was wondering if the area all the way down the family beach was nice.. My kids aren't sure if they want to go to Scuttle's Cove so we may not get to the adults beach..

Thanks,

I like the area all the way down at the far end of the beach. It's usually a bit less crowded down there, and you have a little more peace and quiet. Ohhh, what I would give to be sitting there now! :D

We really liked the spot right behind the snorkel hut. It was kind of secluded yet still considered part of the family beach. There were hammocks there and lots of trees if you want any shade. :)

Hi,

My family got a nice spot at the far end of the family beach. I had to almost run to the far end to find any significant group of chairs available (we got off the Magic [May '01] as soon as we could, but it was late).

I managed to get a nice group of chairs under palms, several with unbrellas. We were close to the restrooms (important with children) and the bike and tube rental too. There was relative quiet and the volleyball net area was close to the area.

I wish you a wonderful trip and day at Castaway Cay!

Regards,

Howard

my kids are looking forwards to the "Teens Wild Adventure" on Castaway Cay (i think that's what it's called)..
though i find it hard to believe they'll be up in time to be at common grounds by 8:20 in the morning.....
but if they do manage to get up and out, i think we'll head for the adult beach....or maybe not....
the truth is i'm not a beach person..
we live 10 minutes from a beach and we never go...
only when the kids were little, we'd go to build sand castles and bounce around in the waves a bit...
if however the kids don't do the wild adventure, then we'll go snorkeling and bike-riding with them....
then maybe head back to the ship to rest from the sun...
i never lie out in the sun, so unless we're actually doing something, like snorkeling or biking, i won't stay out there....

The shade!!! The only two times that we've been to CC was on the 7-day and by the time we get there, I'm usually toasted. So I hide under an umbrella and enjoy the breeze and the music at the family beach.
