Seems that Wall e merchandise is VERY hard to come by! Are they waiting until closer to Christmas? I have even looked on eBay and a lot of the merch. on there is from Europe. What gives?

Interesting article. I just find it hard to believe that Disney makes a movie and doesn't flood the market with tons of merchandise. Kids love this movie and I am sure the stuff would sell like hotcakes!

We wore our Wall-E shirts out at Disneyland last week and got tons of comments about them, mostly, "Where did you get that?" and castmembers saying "Wish we had more Wall-E mechandise".

When we were in Disney in July we couldn't find much at all with Wall*E on it. We did buy Wall*E shirts in our Disney store in PA and we also got the same reaction. People loved the shirts and wanted to know where to find them. Our Walmart has Wall*E shirts for toddlers and outfits and our Target has Wall*E shirts for older kids. My son had no sizes for him! Our Toys R Us had a very small amount of toys and we scooped up the remote controlled Wall*E for $50. I figured they wouldn't be around by Christmas so he used birthdday money to get it.

My son just got one for his birthday yesterday and it is BROKEN!
I hope Toys R us has another one for me to exchange! They only had 2 when I bought it, so I hope they still have one.

Maybe the lack of Wall E merchandise is keeping with the theme of the movie...know what I mean?

Well, sort of. I agree, it is no Nemo or Lion King - BUT my son LOVES the characters (Wall e and Eve) and thinks they are so cute. Kids don't care that much about brilliant story lines, apparently.

my son also has the Wall-e robot for $50. And I was soooo mad when I went to blockbuster a few days later and found out they sell them too for $35. Blockbuster had lots of Wall-E merchandise.

Also Wal-mart has Wall-E blankets, bed sets, chairs, and t-shirts for sale now.

I didn't mean that the movie was too grown up and therefore there isn't as much demand for merchandise...I agree kids loved it, my dd ADORES walle. I meant maybe the lack of merchandise is because the movie's point was that we buy too much crap. The more walle crap they make, the more we'll buy.

I doubt that is the real reason though...dis would probably rather make more money selling cheap plastic toys to fill up the earth if it fills their pockets. :rotfl2:

When Cars came out, there was a huge demand for the merchandise. WDW had very little. It wasn't until several months later that they got a lot Cars merchandise in. It seems like they have a problem with their suppliers.

There is some Wall-E merchandise available at WDW, but it is not a huge amount.

Oh!! I got ya! Sorry, I'm a little dense today. Yes, I totally got the "save the earth" message from the movie. That said, I doubt Disney wants to save the earth so bad that they will give up making billions on some movie related toys!!!

I was told by a Target employee (so take it fwiw) that because the Ratatouille merchandise was a bomb, they weren't doing as much for Wall-E.

Oh no! My son has been trying to be extra careful with his. It does seem very delicate and not a toy for a younger child.

I found a nice Wall*E beach towel on clearance at Walmart!
I'd be upset at well if I saw that same toy much cheaper! We don't have a Blockbuster near us.

The most Wall-E merchandise I've seen in one place was at the Disney Quest store, of all places (at the west end of DTD's West End). This was two or three weeks ago, tho, so it could all be "Camp Rock" or some other next big thing by now.

I went ahead and got my kids the u command(rc) WallE from target because I thought they might be a hot item this year. They are only 39.99 there, as opposed to TRUs online price of 59.99. It does say out of stock at both Target and TRU online. That's all I could find with Walle at Target, except for the vsmile games, and they are out of stock of the leapster game at our store.

Does WDW sell the plush that I keep seeing on Ebay? Or is that from Dsney store?

We just returned from WDW on Wednesday, and we spent a LOT of our time trying to find Wall-E stuff for my son.

We did find a small plastic Eve which my DD got, but though we checked all over, we could not find the Wall-E version. Literally on our way out of the park and on the way to the airport, we stopped into the Emporium and found a small stuffed Wall-E for $9.95. They had about 10 of them when I walked up to the shelf, and as we were standing there, two others got grabbed. The CM cashier said that she'd just sold three in a row right before we walked up. I assume that the rest went quickly.

Just returned from WDW and did find some Wall E merchandise there. My daughter absolutely loves Wall E and we got her the pj's, stuffed Wall E, and a Wall E pin. They had other things like a magnetic play set, small play figures, robots, cups, and books. The small stuffed Wall E was a rare find. I only saw it once, and they were all gone by the time I went through the register line. We were very excited about the pins, we asked at one place and they said they haven't come in yet and a couple days later found two different Wall E pins.

I got the coolest remote control WALL.E it is called U Command WALL.E it walks and talks it was $40 at Sams $60 at Disney .com They had lots of Wall.E things at the Emporium in MK last week .
