Where's the Coffee?

I'll add some more info for to this as well!

My best friend LOVES coffee and the stronger it is the better!
And she has never been to disney and I thought she might enjoy trying different types of coffee

I feel like the Joffrey's coffee that is used throughout WDW is pretty strong - sometimes too strong for me though.

My very favorite coffee is at Kona Cafe - LOVE the press pot but the regular brewed Kona coffee is awesome too!

kona cafe at the Poly serves a french press of kona yumminess. Warning: do NOT drink the coffee at Starring Roles.

Sounds like a trip to the poly is in order! Which would work out good because I've never been there.
Do they offer the coffee all day?
I'm trying to plan something now for the night we get there, we could do that and I could get a drink and maybe watch the fireworks from the beach?? Catch the bus to MK and ride the monorail over to the poly. What do you guys think?
The plan is to get to the room, unpack and get settled in and hit the pool or disney springs and then something else along those lines. Our flight gets in at 11:30.

We always order the pressed pot of coffee at Kona Cafe, Boma in AKL and Narcoossees at GF. The coffee is outstanding when pressed just fo you!

For me it is the pressed pot of coffee that you can get at Jiko and Boma at AKL.

This is my opinion as well. Whichever roast of Joffrey's they serve at Contemporary Grounds in the Contemporary lobby is also very good. I wish I would have asked which on it was.

1) If "pressed" properly, Pressed Pots do make excellent coffee.
2) However, we have yet to see a WDW eatery use the Pressed Pot methodology correctly.
3) So, we avoid the pots and just go with the "regular" coffee at the TS eateries.
.
NOTE:
When you go for "strong" or "stronger" coffee, use more grounds, not more time.
Brew time or pot-sitting time adds coarseness and bitterness, not strength.
This is why we don't do Pressed Pot coffee at WDW.

Kona offers it in the morning out front but after I think 10 am you have to go to the restaurant to order it to go.
You can get very good coffee in Norway in Epcot as well.
Most restaurants unless noted, serve Jofferey's which is the official coffee of WDW. Use to be horrible Nescafe and I think there still maybe a few of those places around so ask if you order it.
Other than that, McDonald's on property lol or your stuck with Staryucks.
In Disney Springs, the Staryucks there does sell special reserve coffees which I can stomach. They change the specialty coffees daily there.

We must be lucky then, because it has always been good. My DD and DSIL make it at home for me and I just buy the Kona coffee. I am spoiled!

Yeah, I don't know where Rusty's been eating, but I love excellent coffee (yes, I know how to make it), and we had a great experience with the pressed pot coffees at Kona Cafe (dinner), Artist Point (dinner), and Grand Floridian Cafe (breakfast). Good coffee isn't hard to find at WDW, and don't worry, y'all won't have to rely on Starbucks! :)

I agree Rusty. I was so excited for my french press full of nice Kona coffee and Kona Cafe. Well it got to my table and it was clearly pressed wrong and it was luke warm at best. I was a barista for several years (yes at the evil Starbucks everyone loves to hate on) and knew that there was no way they properly pressed my pot if it came as quickly as it did after I ordered it. I had a feeling they pre-make a bunch of them during the morning but that didn't serve the customer best at that time. Hopefully this time they get it right for me.

I am dying to make it to Victoria and Albert's for their special brew. The whole process looks amazing and definitely not something I can do at home.
