Also, what's the name of the liqour store and how are the prices? Thought we might buy some beer for the in-room fridges. :drinking1
Arriving Saturday, getting excited! :earsboy:

Thanks,
Jeff

I think Goodings is the closest to POFQ and it's based at the Crossroads shopping centre, you can walk there apparently from DTD but it is a bit of a hike and not what you want if carrying a load of beers, other than that you could get a taxi to walmart, we got one and it cost us $20 i think (round trip), so not bad. However they do sell beer at POFQ food court also, although i'm not sure of the price as we didn't buy any. In fact in the 16 nights we were there i think i only had one bud, alcohol just didn't seem neccesary somehow.

If you will have a car, the closest liquor store I know of is on Apopka-Vineland Rd about a mile North of Crossroads. There is a WinnDixie there as well. Sometimes beer is cheaper there if your brand is on special. You can sign up for their saver card on the spot. Goodings is expensive but closer. I think you can also buy beer at the Hess gas stations.

There is an ABC Liquor a few blocks down 535 from the Goodings/Crossroads intersection (I think this is the one BCV23 was talking about).

However, unless you plan on drinking a lot during your stay you might do better just buying it in the store in the resort. I know it is really expensive compared to what you can buy in a liquor store but when you factor in a cab ride (about $20) and the time you would spend away from vacation traveling it might work out to be cheaper in the long run.

On the other hand, if you are going to buy a lot - or do other shopping (there is a WinnDixie nearby and a CVS and Walgreens Pharmacy - as well other stores all in the same area) - it might be worth it for you.

That was the one I was talking about, John. However, it actually isn't on 535 as that route heads West at the next light North of Crossroads. Apopka Vineland continues North at that point.

I'm not trying to nitpick, I would just hate for someone to follow the signs for 535 and end up over by Cypress (whatever it is called).

Oh, and I agree that I wouldn't cab it. I'd either buy at the resort or rent a car for a day if I didn't have a car already.

Goodings is very expensive for Beer and Wines, and everything else as a matter of fact. But it is close. I would suggest Winn Dixie or Publix. IMHO
