We tried this recently for breakfast and were very surprised. A wonderful combination of Ala-cart and buffet. And, with the DVC discount only $14 a person. It's at the Dolphin, a very short walk form the BWV and BCV.
GFC is great, and if you are paying out of pocket, they are very reasonable! We had ressies for Kona last time but ended up having to cancel them, so not sure about them--but have heard they are great!
We loved the Tusker House breakfast. Great buffet and it's a character meal, which is always a bonus if you have kids. The 'Ohana breakfast is also a character meal (we've found great interaction) that is a must-do for our family every trip. It is served family style. The food is delicious and plentiful (just ask for more & they will keep replenishing!) Kona was also good the one time we ate there. The tonga toast gets rave reviews (just not my thing) and the pineapple macadamia pancakes are amazing!
I love Boma. Love their frunch juice. For a counterservice I really like the Mara. We get 2 of the bounty platters and split them between the 3 of us. Instead of getting the biscuit we ask for an extra little mickey waffle.
For a non-character breakfast: You can't go wrong with Captain's Grille in Yacht Club. They have the best breakfast buffet! It's the same as Cape May but without the characters. Can't go wrong with either one if you are looking for a great buffet.
Ohana is a must do for our family every trip. We also did Cape May last time and really loved it. We don't do many breakfast meals so I want to try the others listed but we find ourselves unable to break away from Ohana.
If you are interested in a buffet, I would say Boma or The Wave. For a nice sit down meal, I would say Kona or Grand Floridian Cafe. They are all great. We are planning on eating at all of them in August!!
