Where'd you go for your honeymoon?

We went to Hawaii. A brief overnight in Honolulu, then flew to Maui and then went on to the Big Island. I dream of the day I can return...

We married December 19, 1971. My husband was in law school. He had a final at 8 am on 12/20. We had no honeymoon.

We're still married, though :)

We sent our son and his new wife to Acapulco for their honeymoon. Pretty neat wedding gift, huh?

It was my first time leaving the NJ/NY area, I could go anywhere I wanted to. I picked Disney World for my honeymoon. And it was the best decision. We had a fantastic honeymoon.

We're going to the Outer Banks for a week after the wedding, waiting 6 months and spending a week in Disney!!! It's 2 honeymoons in one year. :)

two weeks in Cancun... beautiful!

Another Disneymooner. 6 nights at BWV where we ended up buying into DVC. Now that was an expensive honeymoon! :rotfl:

A week in Bora Bora, a 5 day cruise around the outer islands (atolls) and then 4 days in LA. It was amazing

We went to Hell. Seriously, there is a town in the Cayman Islands called Hell. Everyone goes there to mail their tourist postcards.

We stayed in a efficency right on the ocean. Weather was perfect. Long strolls on a moon soaked beach and then into the hot tub.

We went to WDW and stayed at the Polynesian, it was an awesome trip !!

Got married in 1982 went to Williamsburg and Chincoteague Island in Virginia in the motorhome we bought right before we got married.

Ex husband and I went to Disney World and a couple of other attractions around Florida. DH and I went to a overnight stay at a nice hotel and we saw a wonderful Christmas program of Kenny Roger's. He puts on such a great show. Such a great singer!!

In a wonderful blazing fall 19 years ago we went to the RB Inn in Connecticut--which I found out was haunted just 1 month before & it was too late to change the reservations! :scared1: I was a beautiful 250 yr old Georgian home, that despite the peak foliage season, we were the only 2 (living)people in residence--even the innkeepers lived in another house! It was a dark & stormy night...
Really! actually dark & stormy for our 1st night there.
I stayed awake for the 3 nights we were there--& not due to the em..athletics!
We spent another few nights at the Publick House in Sturbridge, Mass. We had a wonderful suite in the ancient part--no haints, though :goodvibes
for our 1st anniversary we went to another 250 year old inn situated in the beautiful blazing Conn countryside--I will never stay in a creepy old inn again! :scared1:
Odd because we live in an old inn--see the siggie ;)

Cruise to CB, that is why we choose the CBR for our 10th anniversary.

Married in 1999 and we went to Ixtapa, Mexico for a week. We stayed at Las Brisas Resort Ixtapa-- We loved this hotel. The staff went out of their way to make our trip amazing. Our hotel had its own private beach, several 4 Star Resturants, our balcony had its own hammock overlooking the ocean, everyday they put two different floral arrangement on our beds (not sure if that was because we were honeymooners!)... I could go on and on. We got married in October and while we got a bit of a sunburn, our friends and family were dealing with freezing rain with our crazy TX weather! DH and I would like to take DD when she get older, right now she considers vacations as Disney or Bust!

1st night: An Econolodge in Wooster, OH.
2nd night: Don't remember. Some cheap hotel on the way to where we were going.
3rd-5th (or 6th? Don't remember) nights: $9 a night primitive tent camping in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia. Can't recall the name of the camp. The weather was so bad it was impossible to set up camp or cook the food we'd brought, so we ended up sleeping in his folks' van and living on crackers and cheese and candy bars.
6th (or 7th?) night: My folks' house while they were on vacation.

We were young and poor and headed off to begin college immediately after the honeymoon, so we spent our $$ on tuition, etc. :p
