Where would you waitlist?

We are going to be within a few hours of WDW at the end of Dec./early Jan. and are considering detouring to WDW for a few days. Obviously everything is booked, so this would be pending a waitlist.

A studio or 1br is all we need.
Can be anywhere.

Would you waitlist a studio or 1br and where would you waitlist? Is SSR the best choice because there are so many villas?

Any input is appreciated.

You can make multiple waitlist requests. You can request more than one resort and I believe different size villas. I would waitlist as many different options as you can, though Saratoga is a good bet, as you mentioned because of the size of the resort. I would call though, as this is the only way I have made multiple requests. Then they can note that once the first waitlist comes through to cancel all of the others, since you only need one villa. You can have two active waitlists. With SSR, you now have two booking categories that either means you waitlist both those categories or choose one and then choose another resort. OKW might be okay, but not HHArea. AKV savanna might show up before standard.
