Romantic Anniversary weekend trip. NO KIDS!! Early September.

So..where would you want to stay?

We are doing just that Feb and we are staying at the BW and can't wait! The area just seems like it would be nice. Last 2 stays we stayed at the YC and it was wonderful - just thought we would try something new this time.

I'd say BCV even though I've never stayed there. The word BEACH in the title does it for me. Plus it's close to the Boardwalk for entertainment.

I am an OKW person myself but I would have to say BW BW view

If my husband asked me where I'd like to stay for a trip for the two of us, I'd choose VWL. The resort is just warm and cozy, and is one of my personal favorites. :goodvibes

We ditched our kids too, for End of Sept and a couple days of Oct. We own at the BCV and it is great. Next years adult only trip we may try something else.

Boardwalk all the way...between the walking distance to the parks and easy access to evening activites and restaurants, I think that's the perfect place for you! Enjoy!;)

My first choice is BWV, which I have stayed at with just DH and no kids. JELLYROLLS! for a fun night out, plus the restaurants for nice dining (a stroll over to the Yachtsman Steakhouse for a delicious quiet meal, as well), followed by a walk into Epcot to watch Illuminations, and a treat or drink at one of the pavillions, nice.....:flower3:

My second choice is AKL or AKV, which DH and I have also done without the kids. A slow and quiet late afternoon on one of the viewing balconies, watching the animals, before going into a before dinner drink/appetizer at the lounge, and a table for two in Boma or Jiko, with a day followed by morning coffee on the balcony, and relaxing at the pool, before going into one of the parks for the night......perfect!

Enjoy your time without the kiddies....

I guess we're a bit different. Our idea of a romantic Anniversary trip is not how much we can do, but how much we are not going to do - no rushing around, no phones, no emails, no deadlines, no appointments. We both own a business so peace and quiet and together time is a big priority.:flower3:

So we're taking the Anniversary trip in May. Not only no kids, but also no parks. So, 2 days at AKL - plenty to see there without the parks, plus great bar and dining. Then off to HHI for a few days - very relaxing and romantic, IMO.

Whatever you pick, I would highly recommend a splurge on a 1 bedroom - balcony, jacuzzi, full kitchen for wine/cheese/bread- lovely.:thumbsup2

You'll probably get 8 or 9 different answers.;) Anyway...we stayed at BWV and loved it, and just having gotten back from SSR with my family, I'd say SSR would be a nice romantic quiet place too.

Oh and a 1 BR is the way to go. :)

I would choose Savannah view at AKV first, and VWL second.

for us we would pick one of the ones nowhere near Disney just so we could spend more time with each other sans kids ;) ;) ;) So it would be either VB or HH most likely VB

I am planning such a trip for May/2011---no such thing as too much planning.:confused3

AKV Concierge for 3 night, BWV, BW view for 3 nights:cool1:
Will need to transfer in or rent some points from kind DVCers for the AKV ressie:scared:

I'd try for the BLT, it's new, and odds are they won't be sold out , so availability will be good.
