If you could stay anywhere on property, irrespective of cost, for a solo trip where would you stay?

Trying to see if there's some resorts more than others that people think are more suitable for solo trips :goodvibes

i can't wait to stay at BWI. never really wanted to stay there with the kids but definitely on my next solo trip. my last solo trip was spent at POFQ (see report below). i liked it there but not the location. i spend most of my time in EPCOT so being able to walk to MGM and EPCOT is the best for me. i can also hop the monorail at EPCOT to get to MKG so it works.

i stayed with my mom in that area at xmas (beach club) and it was beautiful there as well.

I love the Pop, I love the families and I personally enjoy the bright colors and the theming. It feels like Disney to me. But then again, I've never stayed anywhere else, so I might be biased! ;)

Solo and no cost limit? Yacht Club or Grand Floridian. I'd go Deluxe and with easy park access. YC is where we usually stay---my DH and I like the quiet adult feel and the walkability. By that I mean, the International Gateway entrance into World Showcase, one of my favorite places to wander, which is great alone. And the walk to MGM is nice. Also, the boats. The GF has the monorail, and I think the atmosphere there would be solo-friendly. Plus, both hotels have friendly bars/lounges and easy access to others.

value - Pop
moderate - POR or CSR
deluxe - BC or Polyn

dvc - BCV, BWV or VWL

For a solo trip, assuming availability, either Saratoga or Boardwalk. Saratoga if I wanted to spend time playing golf and enjoying the spa and DTD (non-park stuff), and Boardwalk if I wanted to spend more time in the parks. I've stayed at both and enjoy them.

Grand Floridian, hands down! Loved it there.
Then POLY, because I've never stayed there.

Either of these suit a solo or adult couple. Calm surroundings and easy access to Epcot (imo the deepest and most rewarding park for adults) with many dining and entertainment options available with close proximity to the boardwalk. If you stay there be sure to get park hopper passes because it is best to travel to MK by walking through Epcot and taking the monorail. BC has some really nice rooms with one king sized bed facing Epcot so you can see some of he Illuminations fireworks. Also, and I cannot stress this enough, BC/YC's central location give you an excuse to take mid-afternoon breaks at their shared pool which is far and away the best on WDW properties.

If I could stay anywhere, I'd stay where I usually do-BCV. I'd definitely pick a DVC studio. I think those are just great-in the words of Samantha Brown, "It's like having your own little homestead." And I like the Epcot resort area for the convenience to Epcot, my favorite solo park. BCV over BWV is just my own preferrence, but definitely one of those.

Animal Kingdom Lodge, no question. Sometime I want to do a long weekend there and just hit the spa, the pool, and the savanna. No parks, just relaxing. It's so peaceful and luxurious and well themed with so much to do and see. Last time we went we stayed there and I spent a good first few hours wandering our wing looking at the art and little displays and watching the animals feed while DH was out cold from all the traveling. Much as I love the parks (and I do!), those hours were some of the best that week - fun, a little adventurous, new, and no crowds! :) Transportation is a bit of an issue (nothing but buses) but our fave park is AK so we'd be on buses anyway. Second pick would be Yacht or Beach Club - I like the easy access to Epcot (second fave park) and the more peaceful atmosphere. BWI is just too busy and loud for me. My parents love it, and I'm thrilled for them - it's just not to my taste.

Moderates - I've only stayed in POFQ and Riverside but LOVE them both. Transportation's the only downside, naturally. But I'd happily spend a long weekend at either, treating it as a spa and finally finding time to do some mini-golf and boating. Actually if it weren't for location Port Orleans (either side) would be a close second after AKL, I love them so much.

My top 3 would be Poly, Yacht Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge each for a totally different reason.
