I am taking my kids there sometime in the spring of next year. It will be their first visit. What resort do you think is the best for a 5 and 4 year old? the 5 year old is a boy and the 4 year old is a girl if that matters.

It depends on money. If you are not on a budget- I'd stay at the Poly or Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge- you can't beat the proximity to the Majic Kingdom.

If you are on a budget- I Love All Star Movies- the themes are great for little guys.

Well at their age I would say that the pool is probably what matters most to them. Not on a budget I would pick Poly it has a very cool pool and close to MK, a little cheaper deluxe would be BC/YC for their mini waterpart SAB and closeness to Epcot. In a mod I would have to go with CSR. My first choice overall would have been AKL but with the construction I am leary to stay until it is completed.

I think with small kids, Pop Century or All-Star Movies would be great because of the coloring and theming. It'll really give them the feel of disney, rather than just the feel of a hotel.

With small aged children I think you would enjoy your stay at AS Movies or Music. These 2 resorts absolutely scream disney because of their theming. I believe the room would be big enough for your family and the pools are quite adequate for you as well. Good Luck!!

To keep it simple...on-site.
Kids at this age will be happy at almost all the resorts. The rest comes down to your budget, location and theme. I think parents worry more about staying than young kids ever do. The location also rolls up with transportation options. MK will most likely be their favorite park, so we primarily select resorts in the MK area using water and monorail transportation. When their older...maybe the Epcot Resorts.

I agree with the last poster. My girls are 6 and 7 this trip, but we've been going since they were 2 and 3. They've been happy at each resort we've stayed. You can't beat the convenience of the monorail when you have two tired little ones though.

Honestly, any of the Disney resorts would be fine. If you are comfortable with paying over $300 a night for a room, then I would highly recommend the Polynesian (POLY). If $100 or less a night is more your speed than I would go with Pop Century (POP) If you were thinking in the $200 range, check out Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL) or any of the moderate resorts.

My kids are 5 & 7. They were 3 & 5 during our first trip. Staying at the Poly was wonderful for that trip btu we have had a fabulous time at all the resorts we have stayed at. You really need to determine your budget before you can best pick a resort.

I think it really depends on a budget. Like others have stated if you can afford the deluxes, than the Monorail resorts may be something you would want to check out. We have stayed at Pop, CBR, Swan, Dolphin and BWI..We really liked Pop as far as the Values (but than again I do not know what the other values are like). Our favorite place so far is is the BW. The Dolphin was also very nice.
