Where would you stay? BLT, BWV or BCV?

Hello,

We are attending a wedding at the gazebo on the boardwalk. We are booked at BLT (our home resort). At 7 months out, should we try to switch to BWV, BCV or stay with BLT?

We are four people, two adults and two teen boys. Booked one bedroom.

We like that BLT has two bathrooms & both sleep sofa & chair.

The boys won't be attending the wedding.


Where would you try to stay & why?

It would depend on what parks the boys wanted. If EP/DHS then BWV or BCV. If they want Stormalong bay then BCV. BLT for MK and Monorail access. I think I would try BCV first then BWV.

You will need a 2 bedroom if you switch to the BCV or BWV.

FWIW, I would book at either BCV or BWV, whichever is available at 7 months. I'd rather walk to the gazebo in wedding clothes (assuming you aren't dressing park casual for the ceremony, LOL) rather than take Disney transport or pay for a cab. All three resorts should be fine for the boys to get to a park.

You didn't mention where the reception after the wedding would be held. I think if it was me I'd pick something near there since that will be the end of a long day.

The reception is at Atlantic Dance Hall on the boardwalk.

You're right - I missed that. For whatever reason, I thought they were a party of 5. Need more coffee, I guess.

That said, if they got a 2 bedroom, the teenagers wouldn't have to share a sleep sofa and the living room/kitchen area could stay available for anyone who likes to get up early or stay up late. Plus, there's an extra TV. Plus the 1 bedrooms at BCV & BWV only have the one bath. Maybe the Mom would rather not share with 3 guys. The 2 bedroom would be worth it to me, but I know others prefer to spend less and don't mind sharing beds or having less family space.

I would stick with BLT. The boys are familiar with your home resort and can easily go to MK together. A BLT 1BR provides separate pullout beds for each boy, so no sharing. The resorts at BWV and BCV don't have a pullout chair in the 1BRs.

Now if you want to walk back to the resort after the wedding and reception then another Epcot resort would be better, if the reception is in the Epcot area?

They are teenagers so they can navigate around DW on their own... HS/Epcot... And then there's the swan/dolphin amenities (mini golf etc).

I would do BWV-- proximity is everything to me. The wedding and reception is at BWV

Another suggestion is 2 studios.... It's almost the same number of points as a 1bd!

If you can't get BWV, then do BCV.

Walking and the convenience is, to me, priceless....

I was able to switch to a one bedroom at BWV boardwalk view! I was hoping for a two bedroom, but am happy I was able to switch. I am waitlisted for two bedroom standard and pool/garden view.
