We are trying to plan a trip for June and we have narrowed it down to either Vegas or New York. My DH loves to drive instead of fly so we will be driving
anyway I have been to both places although its been about 10 years since I've been to Vegas so a lot has changed.
Here are my thoughts,
1. Vegas/Grand Canyon
The drive is horrible! Driving through Texas and New Mexico and Arizona there is nothing....and I mean nothing, no trees, NOTHING for hundreds of miles. Now the Grand Canyon was gorgeous and I would love for J.C. to see it. Vegas is also something to see although we aren't gamblers. And in my mind if we go West there is a definatly possibility that we could have a few days to go to Disneyland (which honestly is the only appealing thing to me about going west.)
2. North/New York
We went to New York a few years ago and didn't get to do nearly enough. To me it was wonderful! There is so so much to see and do there. Plus I have friends in this area who have promised to show me around if I ever come there. Its also close to Washington which I am very familiar with because of my fathers Republican Party days when we would spend a lot of time in D.C. sight seeing while daddy was at the White House or at meetings. I love D.C. and it never gets old.
I know it sounds like I have made up my mind...I would much rather go North....but if it was your choice where would you choose?
