2019 bookings will open up soon and I can't decide where to stay when we go next May for my 30th bday. It will just be me and my husband going for 3 nights and I'm torn between AKL or BWI. We walked around AKL on our trip and fell in love and it seems like a nice adult resort and we would be able to have breakfast at Boma and dinner at Jiko but we would have to bus to all the parks. BWI was our favorite epcot resort when we toured that area and since we will only have 2 day hoppers it would be super convenient to walk into Epcot both nights and enjoy eating and drinking around the world. So which would you pick?

I'd absolutely pick one of the Epcot resorts for convenience if that's your thing. We stayed at Yacht Club on our last trip and the convenience can't be beat (although we prefer off site due to the room check policy).

I'd also look into the Four Seasons if I were you. You'd still get all the perks like 60 day fast pass, but you'd actually be in a truly deluxe hotel and they have some awesome adult oriented add-ons. The obvious con is that you'd have no Magical express (if you're flying), but it can usually be had for the same price as a Disney deluxe (sometimes less!)

I would do AKL, but that's because clowns scare me and I can't wrap my head around the pool at BWI for that reason.

BWI is all about location, so if that's the most important part for you, then I would choose that. If you want a relaxing time, I would go with AKL. Either are excellent choices!

We are flying in and using Magical Express.. I really want to stay at both of these hotels and hopefully whichever one we dont pick we will get to stay at on a future trip with our kids

I love the music and wine and landscaping at AKL and find that romantic. That's what I'd choose.:earsgirl::earsboy:
