What is the cheapest Airport to fly out of mid-west, east?? We want to move some day but I don't want to to a citiy that is always over $200. for a ailine seat.

I live near the Cincinnati airport but we always fly out of Dayton, Louisville or Indianapolis because it is so much cheaper--even when we take drive times, gas and parking into consideration.

We check other airlines in the area and usually its cheaper to fly out of Indy.

Anyone else have cheap airfare from where you live????

And mild summers??

I know its pretty cheap for us in AZ to fly into Chicago - maybe it is cheap to fly out of there as well?

We live in NJ and fly out of Newark. There are times that you can get better fares out of JFK, but once you factor in hiring a car service to and from and travel time, Newark is always the best bet. We can usually fly to almost anywhere in the continental US for $200-$300 max.

You should also consider if there are any direct flight available...in Albany NY only SWA flies directly for under 200.00rt. I think the DC area is good, but don't know for sure...but wouldn't you have to move where you can work?

We live near Annapolis, MD, and are only 20 minutes from BWI Airport and about 50 minutes from DC Reagan Airport. We fly out of BWI quite often. Have only flown Southwest because I like their no penalty change policy. We can usually find fares when they have a sale for $49.00 each way to Orlando and some family members of mine just flew to San Diego for $99 each way. Southwest and Airtran both have non-stop flights to Orlando. My family members also flew nonstop to San Diego on Southwest from BWI.

Personally, if we didn't have both sides of family here, we'd have moved from Northern Virginia long ago. The summers are hot & muggy & nothing is cheap. We did manage to get SWA from BWI to Orlando for $59 each way but I think overall prices are much better elsewhere from what I've seen posted. What about PA? That seems like such a pretty state & maybe the cost of living is a little better. My DB & SIL love living in Philly!

I live in Chicago and usually fly United (out of O'Hare) and book under $200 per person. It's all about booking in advance and searching. Flying to Florida costs much less than flying to CA. Distance plays a large roll as well.

We live on Long Island, NY. Airfare from Islip/McAuthur is usually pretty cheap. We also have a choice of JFK or Laguardia further west, which may be a little cheaper but we hate the drive to them.

Airfare from Long Island may be reasonable, but don't move here...the cost of living is really getting outrageous. We'd love to move to Lexington/Buena Vista, Virginia. Don't care what the airfare is...just absolutely love it there!!!
