when you've just got off Eurostar and dumped your luggage!!

The Park or the Studios?

Am thinking of heading to the studios *** everyone else may be heading to the park and we want to be nosey and see what queue time Crush is - we go this Thursday :cool1:

Can we expect a 2 hr wait on the Thurs or might it be a bit more realistic like 45 mins. TIA

I would normally say the Studios as they used to be quieter but how times have changed!

I go in a couple of weeks, and my getting there plan is this!

Dump luggage!

Straight to MK, and to the castle! Then to Small World! Then I will know I've truly arrived and it isn't a dream!

I don;t think the sutdios will get a look in till the second day! I jsut couldn't be that close to Main Street and the Castle and not go there! But am I a Disney sucker, and will most likely have a tear in my eye when I see the castle.

We were planning a nose in the studios first, see what queue times were like, maybe do a couple rides and then about 3pm head into the park and straight for Thunder Mountain!

When we went for the day back in March and for 1 night in April we actually went Studios first on both occasions.
I really like the studios :)

Not sure why but we always go straight to the park... Just love seeing the castle first and then everything else.

Can't wait to go back there at Xmas...

OP, you might be arriving, others will probably be there for their second day or so. Running to the Studios to do Crush while it's calm: not that I want to be negative, but unless you're there half an hour before the park opens, you'll have to wait about two hours in line anyway!

So, I'd say: rush to Disneyland Park, look at the castle, breathe, and feel like you're at Disney!

I agree I'd go to the park first, unless you're there at 10 Crush WILL have a big queue!

I'd say go straight to the Park too. The walk down Main Street to the castle for me would mark the start of the holiday nicely.

I'd imagine the Studios will still be busy due to the amount of people who have already arrived that morning.

Perhaps head to the Studios first thing the next morning instead?

First ride, no matter what has to be Pirates. I always start and end on Pirates, easily the best ride there.

That's gonna be my second, is it true that it doesn't really get a long queue? As my bf and I aren't keen on queueing a lot on our first day, but he's never been on POTC (although he recons there's a crappy one at drayton manor?!!?) and I think he'd love it, as I know i do!! ::cop: (I know it's a policemand, but its pretty piratey looking!!

I'm not the only one that doesn 't think much of the POTC ride then?:lmao:

The longest I've ever waited is about 30mins but that was when the park was VERY busy on a saturday in the summer. The ride has a very high capacity so the line is about normally 10 minutes long whenever I've been. If you go in the winter there is often no line at all. Last february, they were letting people stay on for a second ride!

There are lots of rides at Disney that have high capacities. Rides like "It's a small world" and Phantom Manor will always have small queue's even when the park is busy. The reason the wait is so long for Crush's Coaster is because it takes a long time to load people into the cars and also because there's only 4 people in each car. Rides like Pirates and Small world fit about 20 people in each boat.

We've been off peak during the week and pretty much walked straight on every time. The furthest we queued was just before you go through the turn stiles.

In fact the only one we had a loooong queue on was the Cars ride in the Studios (and it really wasn't worth the long wait!)

Good news! yay!! That's definitely our 2nd ride then! I don't think I'll be going on cars tbh, lokos a little gut wrenching for me! I don't really like spinning.

Haha I did have to cling on to the toddler for dear life! Unless you're with someone who is a massive fan of Cars then it's def not worth it.

Ooh i loved cars, think we waited 20mins for this ride. Kyra loved it and so did I.

Hmm maybe we will go to the park first, oh decisions decisions!!

One of the reason we suggested going to the studios was becasue I hadn't seen the studios but I had seen the park but you are all right, there is something magical about walking down main street and just letting the Disney Magic Envelope you!!
