where would you go?

hi

i will be 40 in 2 years and i we would like to go on holiday for my birthday. i can't think of anywhere but disney.
hubby said maybe dubai
we have 4 kids they will be 17, 11, 10 and 6.

my mum has just offered to have the kids for a week so we could go on our own but i don't know if i could leave them.

so where in the world would you go? with and without kids?
any ideas would be great.

How about LA,Hollywood,so you get to see other sights+still get your Disney fix.Why not combine with Las Vegas if you don't take your children.x.

Also others have suggested...LA & San Diego. My DH & I went a few years ago, it's great you can still get a Disney fix, also Universal Hollywood and SeaWorld San Diego. There is just so much to do there and you could also hop over to Vegas (even with the kids) me & DH spent 5 nights in Vegas for DH's 30th birthday and we didn't go into the casino's once! There is so much to do in Vegas other than gamble!

I would take a Disney Cruise, it's brilliant, with or without children (though I couldn't imagine taking one without my two)

It's my 40th this December and I'm taking 16 of my family for a weekend in the Lakes.

I thought about a good holiday for just me and my wife, but wanted to include my parents, and then my brother and sister and their families. So as the guest list went up, the destination got closer and the duration shorter!!

Las Vegas for sure. DH and I had a great time, especially not needing to keep the kids occupied.

It's DH's 40th next year and he wants to take a trip on the Orient Express.
