I'm trying to think of somewhere new I can take my daughters (10 and 13), hopefully not spending a fortune. Here are some things to consider:
I work for an airline. I'd like to be able to fly there and back in a day (done this a few times. Makes for an exhausting day, but sure is fun!)
Must be easy to navigate once I get there. Safe public transportation would be nice, but would be willing to rent a car if it's pretty easy to get around.
Tell me what there is to do once we get there.
I don't have a date in mind yet. Would love to hear about your destination even if it is super cold right now. When is the best time to go?
Thanks for any and all info you can provide!

hope that helps. I have been to all these but Ohio and Washington DC, our family used public transportation after getting off Amtrak, we have also flown in to O'Hare and taken the train downtown. it was very safe. have fun!
