Is your knee doing better now? Biergarten seems like fun!
Now four months post-op, the knee is doing very well. Thanks for asking. We were at the Biergarten last night with good friends and had a great time. At my doctor's recommendation I used a scooter for Epcot since it's so big, but I can do the other parks pretty well just walking at an easy pace. We did the Magic Kingdom today and are planning on going to the Animal Kingdom tomorrow after dropping other friends off at the airport (we like to drive friends to the airport for a good excuse to swing by WDW).
I have celebrated my bday at the world for the past 2 yrs. The first time we had dinner at Chef Mickeys simply because it was the only day I could get a reservation. This past yr we went to Grand Floridian Cafe.
I think Chef Mickey's sounds like lots of Disney Magic for your birthday - especially since they are little. You'll enjoy the joy on their little faces.
For dinner, I had the pastitsio, which I loved. It was just amazing, cinnamon-infused comfort food. My boyfriend had the whole fish, which I believe was a variety of snapper the night we went. He really enjoyed it too. He thought the aromatics with which the fish was stuffed were done really well. There are so many more things on the dinner menu that I'd love to try there, though it will be difficult not to just order the pastitsio again.
This will be our second year to celebrate OUR Bday at WDW. Last year we had lunch at 50's Primetime and dinner at LeCellier. Have ressie's for LeCellier again for this Bday.
Our "cousin" at 50's Primetime really made a big deal out of it and everyone in our area sang to us and they gave us both a Bday cupcake (which was really quite good).
LeCellier was great too but not sure if it would be that great for the kids.
I shall be at WDW for my 35th birthday next month - I am having breakfast at tusker House and Dinner at Boma. Don't know how this will work out, as I am a Disney newbie, but they sound good!
We'll be doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on my actual Birthday this year. Haven't decided if were going to eat before the party or wait until we get in the park. The party starts at 7pm. Maybe dinner at 5pm would give us plenty of time to eat? I guess I should start looking now for reservations! LOL
