Where would you eat for your 10th Wedding Anniversary, price no object?

As I've mentioned before, we are going to be spending our 10th wedding anniversary down at Disneyland for the Tinkerbell 1/2 Marathon (I'm going to be running in it Sunday morning; hubby is going for support :)) We are flying in Thursday and staying through Monday evening. We would like to have a nice dinner at some point to celebrate our 10th anniversary and I was wondering what place would be best? I have never eaten at any of the nicer restaurants there as we always have our 3 kids with us :rotfl: So this will be a first! What does everyone suggest?

Napa Rose is the best, and the Chef Counter at NR is great if you like an experience where the chef chooses what you eat rather than you choosing from the menu.

We just spent our 5th anniversary at Napa Rose at the Chef counter. We had the chef choose what we ate. I am normally not an adventurous eater but I loved everything the chef put in front of me. I ate the smiling tiger salad, a blow your mind scallop (the first one I have ever ate in my life that I did not think was disgusting), lamb meatballs, and some kind of steak dish. I ordered the wine paring to go with it which was equally delicious. You get to see how the kitchen and chef's operate which I thought was very interesting. It is definitely pricey (I think our total bill was $300 for the both of us), but as with everything in Disneyland you are paying more for the "experience". We also ate at Wine Country Trattoria in DCA while we were there and I would have to say there food was the kind of food you put in your mouth and then just leave it there to savor the flavor. It was sooo good and a lot less expensive...I know you said money was no object, but just wanted to let you know the food here was yummy, and I think would also be a good choice for an anniversary dinner. Hope you have a great trip and a great anniversary!:lovestruc

We just(Aug 11) did our10th at the resort. We did the WOC dinner package. Not bad, not spectacticle but still a special evening for us.

Napa Rose is fantastic, also Steakhouse 55 is amazing. We did 55 a few weeks ago for our 4th anniversary, and it was the best meal we ever had at a Disney Park. We spent the day at the park dressed up, and it was fun getting pics in front of the partners statue and the castle wearing a tie. We rode the monorail over for dinner, and it was just a fantastic day.

Along those lines, though not a meal. The Fantasmic Dessert Package can be a special treat for many people.

Oh I like both suggestions for Napa Rose CC and Fantasmic Desert. Happy Anniversary!!

Blue Bayou! As for a waterside table. It's a very romantic place.

Another vote for Napa Rose! Hands down the best food in the DLR, nothing else even comes close.

DH and I celebrated our anniversary at the Napa Rose Chef's Counter earlier this year and we had a great time. The staff was amazing and the food was spectacular.

Just as a clarification, feel free to order off the regular menu at the Counter. You do not have to have the tasting menu if you would rather not. However, I do think that the tasting menu is the best way to go because the chefs work hard to figure out your likes/dislikes and will give you amazing dishes! :thumbsup2

I didn't get a chance to eat at NR but Ralph Brennan's was very nice and the food was delicious. The tableside presentation for the Bananna's Foster was excellent.

Thanks for all the great feedback! I can be pretty picky when it comes to food and even more picky when it comes to my steak = ) I usually don't go out for steak because nobody ever cooks it the way I like it (I'm a former Texan and I like to be able to pick out my own cut of meat, then cook it the way I like it, which is rare to med-rare). My husband hates going to a steakhouse with me because I end up having them recook it as they always tend to overcook it. So I was kind of hesitant to consider Steakhouse 55. But I hear it gets good reviews so we may consider that restaurant. And I have never eaten anything that comes out of the ocean :rotfl: but hubby LOVES it being from San Diego. And maybe if it were prepared by a talented chef drenched in yummy sauces, I may just like it! :confused3 So the chef's counter sounds like an option as well. We also have never seen Fantasmic so considering the dessert package is something I hadn't thought of that I'm now keeping in mind, too!

Thanks for all the great ideas....now I have to sit down and figure out which one we want to do! We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel so any of them work well for us.

Don't worry about types of food. In DLR the Disney menus are all a little general, so I'm sure any place will be fine for both of you. Even if you like land whales and he like sea cows.

Blue Bayou! Make reservations and check in 15 mins early and ask for a table by the water. They usually tell you it will be an extra 30-40 min wait but we have never waited past our original reservation time!
