Assuming $$ is not an issue in this choice- which would you do?
We'll be at the Contemporary in the tower and we'll be going to MK for emh's at 8 am so we wanna try to hop on the monorail around 7:30 or 7:40 to get there for rope drop.
Is the contempo cafe breakfast any good?
Or should we do in room dining?
We won't have time for the Wave which is what I'd really wanna choose- but from what it appears the in room dining food is from the Wave. Is that right?

Thanks!

We just returned from Disney and ate breakfast at the Wave and Kona Cafe. Both are excellent. If you can do an early breakfast from Wave, do that. My DH had the eggs, I had the waffle, and DS had eggs. Everything was hot and quite good and cooked exactly as we asked. MUCH better than the buffet breakfasts that you get. Service was great, food came out quickly, the atmosphere is nice. We will go there again.

Enjoy!

Ate at Kona Cafe for the first time after 40 plus trips, excellent food and servers.:cheer2:

We love Kona too, but i also enjoy Room Service Breakfast before going to the parks.

I agree that Kona for Bkfst is great! But, room service is very conveinent!:rotfl:

I would get to MK at rope drop and go to Main Street Bakery for ham egg cheese croissants and cinnamon buns

If you don't have time for a TS breakfast, then I think the Contempo Cafe is just fine. We ate there once, and I think I had a breakfast platter that surprised me...the french toast was good.

When we have gotten to the MK that early we have one person go ahead with all the tickets to get that first FP of the day and the other person waits gets breakfast from the bakery and then we all meet back up. We eat our breakfast and then head to Pirates first thing in the morning because it does not have a FP!

I'm glad to see these responses since I was wondering something similar.... order room service or do an early breakfast. (Main Street Bakery is always a favorite for something on the go!)

Totally agree with stitchlover if there isn't time for TS. If there is time, then Kona's Tonga Toast is an absolute must.

Just thought of this...if it's Tonga Toast you are after and you don't feel you have time for a TS pop downstairs to the CS at the Poly and have breakfast there. Tonga Toast is on the menu at their CS (at least it was last March). We stayed there in March '09 and the breakfast at the CS was great.

Tonga Toast was at the Poly CS place in October 2009.

The eat out vs. room service is all a matter of timing to me. If your party is the kind that draws out getting ready no matter what, then room service is best. The morning crowd at the Bakery, for example, can get a bit long.

The best breakfast is Crystal Palace IF you get an 8am ADR letting you into the park before opening so you can get a little time alone (almost) on Main Street and some great pics of the place sans park visitors.

There is something quite charming in walking Main Street without crowds to all sides.

I would either go to the CS at the Contemporary or hop over to the Poly for some Tonga Toast at the CS there. Then it is easy to get to MK. I think the CS at Poly opens at either 6 or 6:30 AM. So it would give you time to get to your EMH rope drop at MK!

I'm sure the breakfast at Main Street Bakery is amazing, but we're the kind of people who go straight for the rides and attractions as soon as the park opens, especially on an EMH morning when it gets so crowded. So I would definitely have breakfast before heading out to the park.
