Hi, Shawnee!we've all been praying for you and sending loads of positive thoughts! Thank goodness they found out what causes the issue, but I am so sorry it resulted in diabetes. Hope you feel better and better and completely well very soon.

Im sad to hear of the medical issues leading to the brittle diabetes
my DH is a type one diabetic and it is a very serious disease. Will be thinking good thoughts for Shawnee as she learns to cope/manage this illness.

I am sitting here with Shawnee !! Who is still taking care of the animals for us !!She found out what caused her rash and the resulting complications !! It was the drug Lamictal!!! Her doctor increased her dose from 50mg to 100mg and a week or so after that the rash appeared , which the ER wrongly diagnoses as dermatitis and sent her home . After of cause giving her steroids , which reacted with the Lamictal to shut down her pancreas , hence the Type one Diabetes !! She of course is no longer on Lamictal, and is struggling with her Brittle diabetes , which spikes to 600 at times and she has to go to the ER !! But other than that she is feeling well !! Not liking the drastic life style change but has signed up for Nutrition guidance,and classes on managing her diabetes !!
That is horrible. I wonder if the Diabetes is just temporary or permanent because of the drug interaction. Either way the hospital should be doing everything to help her out since they caused that.

Looks like Rosie's flight is delayed until 10:55 a.m. Hope they are not having bad weather in Buffalo this morning.
A delayed flight is never fun on the way to vacation. Hopefully, JetBlue will get the flight out sooner. It is my favorite airline and they always take care of passengers - my delay last November was minor but we all received a $50 credit on a future flight, extra snacks and very nice little upgraded headphones.

checking Buffalo's weather indicates that it is foggy ....Occasional showers late morning.. and the same for afternoon with thunderstorms possible. Heavy rain is around the area. She mentioned it as a "West Coast flight" so maybe it was a red-eye flight from west coast to NY that was flying on to Buffalo and then to Florida that they were supposed to be on??? I think that one is a given with our Rosie!!

If any of you know Rosie real well, you will know that she does not like texting on her phone. She has actually called me a couple of times when I texted her to give her a message because of how much she doesn't like it.
when a friend of mine got her cell phone I had asked her, "can you text" she answered, "no, but I do answer my phone!" LOL... Guess I'm too used to teenagers NOT answering calls, only responding to texts...Well, I guess our dear Rosie is getting Tech Savvy (or one of the kids did it for her
And yes Marv it does seem like Rosie is using the kids for some tech support. Hopefully the plane manages to leave the gate as well.
I resisted the texting thing quite a bit at first, but you are right in that a lot of times that is the only way you will ever get a response from teenagers! In Rosie's case, I will text her sometimes when I want to get her a message (like Happy Birthday) but you just aren't sure if she is working night's or got called in to work during the night due to an issue, and is trying to sleep!Yikes!!
At her age I don't want to disturb her.......... she needs all the sleep she can get! 
Well, I guess the way Rosie's day has gone so far, it really isn't safe to assume anything.........
